Sat 30 March | 8:00am | Intermediate - Dynamic Reformer Pilates A step up in pace and intensity, and definitely not for first-timers. Expect a varied and challenging workout with more functional progressions and an emphasis firmly on effort and results. | Lauren Chapelhow Lauren was introduced to Pilates as a part of her full-time dance education. Like many dancers, Lauren was no stranger to injury and postural imbalances, and was captivated by what Pilates had to offer.
After working for a short period as a performer, Lauren discovered that she thrived more in a teaching environment and took on work as a dance teacher and eventually set up her own recreational dance school in Stockholm for adults. Pilates became an integral part of the teaching method of the adult students and was the main form of conditioning used by the school.
She also set up a non-profit organisation which offered few weekly dance classes and practise spaces for adults who were suffering from depression, anxiety or loneliness. She noticed the positive effects of dancing and exercise in those around her, and wanted it to be accessible for everyone regardless of their circumstances.
Lauren began to organise dance workshops and events in Sweden with participants attending from all over the World, Brazil, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, Poland, Israel and many more. She also had the privilege to assist some world-famous dancers in teaching their workshops.
After discovering her love for teaching, she then went on to become a full-time group fitness instructor for SATS Sverige teaching concepts such as Core, Power Pilates, Les Mills, Spin, Running, Mobility, HIIT, Zumba and Aerobics.
In parallel, Lauren gained her Personal Trainer qualification as she wanted to be able to work in a one-to-one setting with her clients. Since moving back to England, Lauren has worked as a personal trainer. At Ten, she is thrilled to be working amongst some of the best trainers in the UK, who also share the same mindset toward training – that it should be about improving quality of life through better movement.
As a trainer Lauren believes you should continuously work on having a strong foundation. This means working on mind-muscle connection, muscular imbalances and awakening dormant muscles. Lauren takes a lot of inspiration from calisthenics and gymnastics movements to help build that base, as they require a lot of strength, mobility and stability – the perfect combo. | Ten - Notting Hill | Book Now | 1711785600 |

To say that she likes travel and physical challenges is something of an understatement. She has always been a keen horserider and a runner. When she moved to London she discovered Thai boxing, and after a few years’ training, moved to Kho Samui where she trained for a further five months, taking part in three fights (and winning all three). On returning to London, she was persuaded to enter her first London Marathon – the first of 14 marathons (5 of them in London) all completed in good times, along with a100km race, which she finished in just over 10 hours. When she lived in Australia and Vanuatu she took up cycling, and as a result found herself competing in the Alpes d’Huez. With its 21 hairpins, this is one of the legendary ascents of the Tour de France, which she climbed in just over an hour on a steel bike. Just to add an extra element of challenge (and yet more travel), Caroll trained in Krav Maga in Israel, qualifying as an Instructor. And picking up some injuries along the way, which in turn, introduced her to Pilates and her teaching qualification. Over the past decade she has participated in a number of courses at the some most respected institutes in the field of holistic health and exercise. With her in-depth understanding (and personal experience) that functional movement patterns are essential to maintain a healthy, efficient and pain free body, Carroll ensures that Pilates is at the core of every exercise and program that she does. As a Trainer, Caroll is strict yet patient; a perfectionist but also a good motivator. As the basis of all Pilates, she insists on correct and transferable technique in all exercises – so you can practice in everyday life what you learn in class. But above all, she aims to develop routines that suit, stimulate and encourage everyone in her classes. | Ten - Fitzrovia | Book Now | 1711789200 |

As with many elite dancers, Aydanne’s time as a ballerina didn’t come without injury. After 4 knee surgeries, she spent a lot of her time in the Pilates studio getting stronger, learning about her own body and how she could get the best from within. During this time, she also practised other forms of movement such as Yoga, Gyrotonic, Bo technique, Alexander technique and Feldenkrais. Aydanne then went on to teach Pilates because she wanted to stay connected to her body and help others do the same, gaining her first professional qualification in 2016.
In 2019, Aydanne moved to London, where she continued to teach Pilates. She is expert at uncovering the source of any “bad habits” in the way we move and using the most effective exercises to help rebuild and realign from head to toe.
Aydanne has previously worked with professional dancers, actors, opera singers, pregnant and postpartum women, and not to mention, men and women of all levels of experience who simply wish to move better. Whether she’s working with an elite athlete or someone with a sedentary lifestyle, her approach is the same – it’s all about truly respecting and understanding the body of each individual and helping her clients regain self-confidence and connection with their own bodies. | Little Venice Pilates | Book Now | 1711728000 |

Kylie has always led a busy, active lifestyle, which she is very proud of. Before becoming a Pilates instructor, Kylie ran her own business and was very used to working long hours. She knows very well how this type of lifestyle can take a toll on the body and mind. Over the years, she found it increasingly important to make time in her schedule to look after herself and her body. Kylie went through many different workout regimes, but as soon as she found Pilates, she knew this was the right thing for her. Pilates is fantastic at keeping the body and core strong, which helps to avoid injury and stress in physically demanding jobs. The deep connection with the breath is so good at calming the mind.
She loves that Pilates is for everyone, it doesn’t matter what age, shape or size you are, or what you want to accomplish. Pilates can help you achieve your fitness goals, and help you lead a happy, healthy life. | Ten - Chiswick | Book Now | 1711818000 |

Improve all-round flexibility and mobility, with specific focus on the areas that are most under stress from today's sedentary and desk-bound working lives. No specific level of fitness or experience is required. So if you are learning to move again after an injury, lack flexibility around the spine, knees, hips and shoulders or are just looking for a safe, expert and intensely effective stretch class, this is the class for you. | Simone Leask Simone discovered her love for the health and fitness industry back in New Zealand while studying at university, where her journey began in the comfort of her own apartment doing Youtube workouts between classes. When she realised that an office job wasn’t for her, she turned to personal training and fitness instruction, determined to help others find a healthy relationship with their bodies and exercise. Since then she has explored a wide range of different workout styles including strength training and HIIT, however she has always enjoyed and returned to Pilates, loving the core strength and improvements in her flexibility that she has noticed after her sessions.
After moving to London Simone decided to take another step in her fitness career and become a qualified Pilates instructor, with the desire to teach and show others the benefits of Pilates.
Overall Simone strongly believes that health and fitness should be a positive and fun journey for everyone. She brings a bubbly, welcoming energy to each of her classes and uses this to help motivate and challenge each participant, leaving them feeling great and wanting more!
Outside of teaching Simone has a strong passion for Aerial Circus, and you’ll often find her hanging from the ceiling off silks and hoops. She also loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking mini get-aways to new locations. | Ten - King's Cross | Book Now | 1711724400 |

Expect a varied and challenging workout with more functional progressions and an emphasis firmly on effort and results. | Caroll Kerner Caroll is originally from the Champagne region in France. | Ten - Fitzrovia | Book Now | 1711800000 |

| Ten - Notting Hill | Book Now | 1711724400 |

From an early age, he tried his hand at everything, including football, athletics, swimming, and rugby, to name just a few. This contnued through school, leading him to study Sport and Exercise Science at university, where he specialised in human anatomy and physiology and the effects exercise has on the body. Keen to combine his university studies with his passion for working with others, Tom completed his Gym Instructor and Personal Training qualifications. He enjoys working closely with clients to help them unlock their potential, overcome challenges, and become the best version of themselves that they can be. Whether it is teaching a new client the basics of the gym, or training elite athletes in a strength and conditioning environment, Tom feels that a combination of communication, team-work and dedication can achieve most goals.
Always striving to push himself and increase his knowledge in the industry, Tom went on to gain his BACPR Level 4 Cardiac Exercise Instructor qualification, allowing him to help clinical populations with exercise prescription. It was during this time that he fell in love with clinical exercise prescription, and the opportunity to help clients with specific clinical needs, goals, and requirements. For Tom, helping people restore their day-to-day fitness after suffering health problems is as much – if not more – of an achievement as hitting a personal best on a bench press or 5k best time.
As a result, Tom has worked with GP referral clients in both a 1-2-1 and group exercise setting. Working together to achieve a common goal, and facing a variety of barriers and physical conditions, is the way he loves to work. Being able to understand specific needs, work through obstacles in the most effective ways for the clients and continuously developing their health, wellbeing and confidence is a particular strength of his. From improving the range of motion at specific joints, to increasing cardiovascular fitness to improve the quality of daily functional activities – no matter the aim, if it’s important to the client, it’s important to Tom.
