Erica Foulds
Erica’s love and appreciation for both general fitness and precise movement started early, with classical ballet training. This dual passion for technique-driven exercise and a good old-fashioned workout can also is reflected in her many qualifications – she combines a degree in human communication science with qualifications in personal training, fitness instruction and indoor cycling.
Erica is equally happy helping people recover from serious injury (she has previously worked as an exercise rehab therapist in a clinical stroke rehabilitation unit) and pushing people to achieve their fitness goals (spin and gruelling outdoor fitness sessions are particular favourites of hers.)
For the majority of Erica’s career, she has worked for some of London's top financial institutions as a corporate fitness wellbeing advisor and personal trainer integrating health and fitness into the lives of the chronically time-poor.
Erica has a strong belief in the age old ‘healthy body, healthy mind’ motto and her passion is about making it available for all.
When not at the studio you can find her on a bike (with the latest Ibiza mixes keeping her on the pace) or tapping her toes to the beat at a Dalston jazz cafe.

Ellie Jamieson
Ellie’s sport and fitness journey started young, with ballet, tap and contemporary dance training. Her belief that exercise is medicine and her passion to help people made choosing a career easy. She now holds a bachelor or science degree in sport and exercise for health from the University of Kent.

Ellie has many years of experience working in rehabilitation, specialising on clients with Parkinson’s, Stroke and Cardiovascular disease.

Every spare minute away from her rehabilitation classes was spent in the gym, where Ellie discovered to find a strong link between mind and body and its positive impact on physical strength and stamina, and mental wellbeing. As a result, she was inspired to organise sporting events and provide personal training sessions for her peers at university, as a way to help battle them combat the effects of stress, and maintain mental balance and health.

With Ellie’s experience working with many different populations, it comes naturally to her to adapt to any individual in any situation.

Naturally upbeat, positive and motivated, Ellie’s goal is to inspire everyone she comes into contact with to live a more active daily lifestyle – for her, there is nothing more important than health.

Eleni Miariti
Fitness has been an essential element of Eleni’s life from childhood, starting with ballet and dance training as a young girl, before progressing to competitive volleyball.

In a varied and wide-ranging career, she has travelled the world as a model, developed her own dance programme fusing Latin and oriental styles, which became popular at gyms in her native Greece, and learning crossfit and stunt/fight training in order to prepare for a role in the Warner Brothers Wonder Woman movie.

The desire to share her love of exercise with others led Eleni naturally down the path of fitness professional – she is a qualified class and personal trainer and a women’s specialist. Passionate and empathic about helping women of all ages, abilities and body types feel strong, confident and comfortable in their bodies, and without the need to conform to society’s stereotypes, Eleni is qualified in pre and post natal, and pre and post menopause exercise.

For Eleni a healthy mind leads to a healthy body and vice versa. She tries to connect the mind and body in every session and believes that you should get to know your body in order to listen to it and reach its full amazing potential.

A combination of strength, flexibility and cardio makes up Eleni’s perfect workout – balanced by the calmness that Pilates and yoga brings to the soul.

Convinced that she can make anyone fall in love with exercise, she believes that the most important benefit of fitness is the smile a good workout can bring to anyone’s face.

In her spare time Eleni loves long-distance cycling, half marathons, salsa and good mystery novels.

She speaks English, Greek and Spanish – and can teach in all 3 languages (impressive, if potentially confusing for most of us!)

Emily Rutherwood
Emily has always had a passion for dance, fitness and wellness. She began ballet training at just 2 years old. Her passion continued to grow and she became more serious about dance as a profession.

She spent 4 years at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology before completing her studies and vocational training at the renowned Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London.

Emily holds a First Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Dance from Laban, having written her dissertation on the prevalence and impact of injuries in female contemporary dancers. Katie O’Neill
Katie originally trained as a dancer at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. After graduating with a Diploma in Musical Theatre she went on to work for 8 years as a professional dancer, working and travelling all over the world.

The fitness industry was a natural progression as injury prevention and body image is an important part of a dancer’s life. Katie spent a lot of time in the gym trying to maintain her weight and overcome muscle imbalances. She was introduced to resistance training and began to see and feel a massive change in her body.

Four years into her dance career, Katie obtained her Level 3 Personal Training qualification and used it to help educate herself and her fellow dancers on the importance of resistance training and correct technique. She soon began training other dancers, creating programmes that combined resistance training, HIIT training and Pilates to help them develop strong, flexible, injury-free bodies.

She then went onto gain her indoor cycling, circuit training, GP referral Mat Pilates – and most recently Dynamic Reformer Pilates – qualifications.

Katie is excited to be part of the Ten Team and tries to bring the passion, energy and discipline of her dance background into her sessions to help promote and maintain a high level of strength, flexibility, alignment and posture.

“Your fitness is 100% mental. The body won’t go where the mind doesn’t push it!”

Fri 28 February7:15pmRestorative Yoga
In a chronically stressed state, quality of life is compromised and at worst even lead to illness or injury. Restorative Yoga offers a chance for the body and mind to take some well needed time out to recover and repair by relaxing in a series of fully supported postures. Classes are very slow paced and can use multiple props such as blocks, straps, bolsters or blankets to help you find a place of comfort to allow to hold the poses for a longer period of time. Suitable for all levels.
Natalie France
Natalie’s Yoga journey began after moving on from 7 years of working within the world of data analysis. She was seeking a lifestyle of inner balance and needed an exercise discipline, which helped relieve stress from the body, while bringing a sense of relaxation back into her life and Yoga was the perfect answer. Natalie was hooked after her first Yoga class and would often take 3 to 4 classes a week in order to develop her ability and strength in Yoga, as well as enjoying the benefits it has on the mind and body as a whole.

Her approach to teaching Yoga is focused on encouraging students to pay attention to their own individual strengths, switching off from everyone else and taking your practice to where the body feels comfortable. The statement “I’m not flexible enough for Yoga” – something she hears too often – is an incorrect and limiting belief, and Natalie is all about overcoming the fears and obstacles that people create for themselves.

Mindset work is Natalie’s biggest passion as she is all about the mind/body connection. She spends her time exploring the deeper realms of this theme, alongside a love of travelling the world and taking time out in Meditation/Yoga retreats and workshops.

Maritina Antonoglou

Having grown up in Greece, it’s no surprise that Maritina developed a love for the water from a young age. At 9 years old, she started swimming competitively and she went on to achieve several national championship titles throughout her career. And it’s the countless hours that she spent training both in and out of the pool, that inspired her interest in human physiology.

Keen to develop this interest further, Maritina went on to complete a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences in the UK. She achieved First Class Honours and her academic success saw her rewarded with an NHS placement. There she gained extensive experience in cardiac rehabilitation by working closely with patients, and focusing on exercise prescription and lifestyle modification.

Inspired by this placement and eager to further develop, she went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. The course gave her both valuable scientific based knowledge and practical 1-1 experience with a variety of special populations who suffered with chronic clinical conditions. Specifically, she spent a year working for the NHS team based in Portsmouth and Southampton Hospitals, specialising in clinical exercise delivery and prescription for cardiovascular, neurological, oncology and respiratory conditions.

On a personal level, Maritina finds purpose in helping people from all walks of life to live happier and healthier lives. She believes that even small changes can make a huge difference to some one’s life, and she loves to be part of their journey as the discover that – seeing them achieve physical and mental improvements with her support helps too!

Frances Bowden
Frances has had a love for sport as long as she can remember. Running around a hockey field on frosty Sunday mornings aged eight eventually evolved into a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University (though she can still be found running around a hockey field on frosty Sunday mornings).

Over the course of her degree, Frances developed a passion for exercise prescription and lifestyle modification, wanting to help people move better whilst living heathier and happier lives.

Frances enjoys the client journey, focusing on all aspects of exercise, nutrition and lifestyle to achieve the kind of functional and sustainable results that will benefit a client every single day. She works to the needs of the body, developing strength and flexibility whilst identifying and correcting muscular imbalances created by our 21st century lifestyle to minimise the risk of injury.

Frances loves nothing more than proving to someone that they can do something and that, with the right attitude, anyone can achieve anything.

Over the past three years, she has worked with a range of clients from age 16 to late 80s with both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds. She has helped people from all walks of life achieve their goals, whether that’s to return to walking unaided right through to helping clients return to top-level competitive sport.

Dynamic Reformer Pilates adds another string to Frances’ bow and she is passionate about its seemingly unlimited potential for rehab and for developing the building blocks for functional strength training.

Upbeat, encouraging and super-smiley, Frances brings a warmth and infectious enthusiasm to her classes – along with a breadth of technical knowledge and experience.

Carys Ward
Carys was born in New Zealand and has always been extremely passionate about health, wellness, and the human body. A motto that she lives by is ‘practice what you preach’ and in her spare time you will find her running, hiking, doing high intensity interval training (HiiT) and getting involved in team sports.

With a background in athletics (she was team captain at provincial level), netball, and touch rugby prior she holds a degree in Exercise Science, and a Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology from The University of Auckland.

Whilst completing her Postgraduate Diploma and Masters, Carys accumulated over 600 hours experience working within The University of Auckland Health and Rehabilitation Clinic. This enabled her to work professionally with a variety of patients presenting with a wide range of health conditions (including Cardiovascular, haematological, musculoskeletal, metabolic, neurological, and pulmonary) within a clinical yet adaptive setting.

Carys is a firm believer in ‘Exercise is Medicine’ as a fundamental element that boosts not only physical health, but also mental, and emotional wellbeing.

Carys is always committed to assisting her clients in achieving a healthier lifestyle and meeting their fitness goals through enjoyable, personalised and evidence-based practice (combining both testing and exercise prescription). She is also extremely eager to continue learning and enhancing her knowledge and skills, to create the most appropriate and beneficial programmes for her clients.

For Carys, what makes Reformer Pilates so beneficial as an exercise practice is that it incorporates stretching, loading and corrective components without putting too much pressure on weight bearing joints. She was particularly drawn to join the Ten team because of a shared set of beliefs and goals, and because of Ten’s Circle of Care – an integrated and collaborative team of allied health professionals working closely together with each client’s best interests at its heart.

Having endured her share of sporting injuries and undergone knee surgery, she is acutely aware of the mental and physical impact of injuries and setbacks and training goals, and knowledgeable about modifying exercise programs to assist in rehabilitation whilst still supporting clients’ journeys towards their health and fitness goals.

Fri 28 February11:00amPilates Circuit Class (Equipment)
Using Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Barrel, Wunda Chair and Cadillac, in these small group classes at Little Venice you will follow your own individual programme as you rotate between each piece of Pilates equipment. Each machine features a system of springs, creating resistance to allow and encourage the muscles of the hips, shoulders, arms and legs to work effectively. The resistance of each machine can be altered and set to suit the needs of each individual. This enables our team to devise a programme to facilitate the best possible outcome for our clients’ varying needs.

An introductory assessment/therapist referral is required prior to taking part in a Group Circuit class.

All Group Circuit classes at Little Venice/Notting Hill Pilates have a maximum of four clients and provide individual targeted tuition. Exercises are provided to suit your individual goals and needs within a small group session lead by a senior or master level Pilates instructor or therapist
Eliane Michau (Pilates 1-1/2-1)
A lifelong dancer from the United States, Eliane started taking Pilates mat classes at 11 years old. After having a hip reconstruction as a teenager, she began taking her Pilates practice seriously and was able to rehabilitate from surgery through Pilates and physical therapy.

After finishing her Pilates apprenticeship and obtaining her bachelor’s degree in finance, Eliane moved from New Orleans, Louisiana to New York City to teach Pilates on the Upper East Side. Ellie received her Pilates certification through Power Pilates through their 600-hour Comprehensive Program, and often takes workshops to continue her education.

She is passionate about the healing powers of Pilates, as it has helped her tremendously in both her dancing and everyday life. She has worked with clients from ages 10 to 94, with injuries ranging from frozen shoulder to pre/post natal, to double hip replacements, and has worked with athletes of all kinds.

She is known for her detailed eye and encouraging personality, pushing people to the best of their abilities despite their physical limitations.

Coming from a professional dance background, core strength and the mobility of the body have always been at the forefront of her training. Given Leah’s former career, it probably comes as no surprise that her classes focus heavily on precision of movement and postural improvement.

Outside of dynamic Pilates training, Leah can still be found teaching/attending dance classes and training in pole fitness. She also holds a 1st Dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do, so will have no trouble kicking butts of all shapes sizes and ages into shape!

An upbeat and energising session, ideal for Intermediate clients keen to try the extra challenge that our Advanced Classes offer, but unsure about what to expect. It’s also a great reintroduction for Advanced clients coming back after some time off. Caroll Kerner
Caroll is originally from the Champagne region in France. To say that she likes travel and physical challenges is something of an understatement.

She has always been a keen horserider and a runner. When she moved to London she discovered Thai boxing, and after a few years’ training, moved to Kho Samui where she trained for a further five months, taking part in three fights (and winning all three).

On returning to London, she was persuaded to enter her first London Marathon – the first of 14 marathons (5 of them in London) all completed in good times, along with a100km race, which she finished in just over 10 hours.

When she lived in Australia and Vanuatu she took up cycling, and as a result found herself competing in the Alpes d’Huez. With its 21 hairpins, this is one of the legendary ascents of the Tour de France, which she climbed in just over an hour on a steel bike.

Just to add an extra element of challenge (and yet more travel), Caroll trained in Krav Maga in Israel, qualifying as an Instructor. And picking up some injuries along the way, which in turn, introduced her to Pilates and her teaching qualification.

Over the past decade she has participated in a number of courses at the some most respected institutes in the field of holistic health and exercise. With her in-depth understanding (and personal experience) that functional movement patterns are essential to maintain a healthy, efficient and pain free body, Carroll ensures that Pilates is at the core of every exercise and program that she does.

As a Trainer, Caroll is strict yet patient; a perfectionist but also a good motivator. As the basis of all Pilates, she insists on correct and transferable technique in all exercises – so you can practice in everyday life what you learn in class. But above all, she aims to develop routines that suit, stimulate and encourage everyone in her classes.

Jennifer Bentley
From a young age Jen practised various disciplines of dance, including Ballet and Tap, and also Disco dancing, where she regularly danced competitively at events across the country. The first time she experienced Pilates was during dance classes as a teen, and was intrigues from the outset.

Whilst she loved her years of dancing, she moved to Bristol aged 18 to study a BA in Primary Teaching. Despite graduating with a 2.1 degree, she quickly realised that the school classroom was not for her, and that her true passion and vocation lay in movement and fitness.

In 2010 she completed her Level 3 Personal Training qualification and since then has have worked many of London’s leading gyms and fitness studios training clients 1-1 and leading TRX and PowerPlate classes. She later went on to gain her Mat Pilates certificate.

Jen credits Pilates entirely for allowing her to regain her core strength and stability and getting her back into shape quickly after the birth of her son over 4 years ago. What she loves most about Pilates is the amount of focus needed in order to execute each exercise with control and precision. Unsurprisingly, her classes will encourage you to zone out from all other distractions so you can achieve a great mind-body connection that lets you feel each movement – and its benefits.

In her free time you will find Jen spending time with her little boy and trying out different food spots in London – she does love a naughty burger – which she will burn off later at the gym!

Anser Amado
Anser has been upbeat and active from early childhood. Always keen to develop both physically and mentally, he credits his fluency in three languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese) with keeping his mind open to new influences and knowledge.

A keen footballer for many years, Anser has been passionate about exercise for as long as he can remember. Deciding to make it his career allowed him to unite his twin passions: fitness and the capability to help inspire and develop others.

With 10 years’ experience in the fitness industry, Anser specialises in strength and conditioning, weight loss, HiiT, core training, calisthenics and Reformer Pilates. He particularly enjoys bodyweight-based workouts, as he believes we should all be comfortable working with our own bodyweight before lifting weights.

His interest in Dynamic Pilates stems from understanding that the core provides the foundation for any functional movement. He soon realised the benefits it could offer for his own calisthenics training, not to mention it’s ability to help maximize performance in every any other sport or discipline.

While Anser enjoys socialising with friends and family, he’ll always ring-fence time each week to work on his own personal and fitness goals.
