Niamh Mungavin
Niamh is a dedicated clinical trainer with a strong foundation in fitness, rehabilitation, and caregiving. She holds an MSc in Clinical Exercise Science and a First-Class BSc in Fitness and Personal Training from Southampton Solent University. With extensive experience across both clinical and private settings, Niamh has supported individuals with a diverse range of conditions, including brain injury, multiple sclerosis (MS), cancer, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, hypertension, and depression.

Working closely with people managing complex physical and mental health needs has shaped Niamh into an exceptionally patient, empathetic, and caring professional. She is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based exercise programs that not only support physical rehabilitation but also empower clients to build confidence and improve their quality of life.

Her background as both a rehabilitation assistant and personal trainer allows her to bridge the gap between clinical care and fitness, creating a safe, welcoming environment for every individual she works with.

Niamh’s journey into fitness began with a desire to help people live more active and fulfilling lives. Her early career in caregiving revealed how vital movement is to recovery, independence, and overall wellbeing. This inspired a deeper dive into the science of exercise, eventually leading to postgraduate degree in clinical exercise science. Pilates became a natural extension of her practice – its focus on control, posture, and breath perfectly complements their rehabilitative approach, offering safe and effective movement strategies for clients with a wide range of abilities.

Clients can expect a calm, compassionate, and focused teaching style. Niamh brings a clinical eye to every session, tailoring movement to each individual’s abilities, goals, and medical history. She prioritises clear communication, functional movement, and gradual progress – always ensuring that clients feel supported, empowered, and in control of their journey. Whether working with neurological conditions, chronic illnesses, or general mobility challenges, her sessions are designed to build confidence, strength, and long-term independence.

In Niamh’s spare time she enjoys running, cooking new tasty recipes, and seeing live music.
