Ilias studied physiotherapy at the University of West Attica, Greece. Throughout his studies, he did clinical rotations at large public hospitals treating a range of different conditions. This experience created a strong passion and preference for musculoskeletal injuries, and, during his final year, he volunteered at a futsal academy (U8-U16) as a junior physiotherapist.

After graduating in 2020, Ilias started working in a busy private physiotherapy practice, specialising in musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. This practice worked closely with many local sports teams (football, basketball, volleyball). After this, Ilias had the honour to join the military air force hospital, where he spent his 12-month mandatory military service, treating high-ranked personnel and their families.

Ilias’ passion for sports started from a very young age (5), where he started playing football at a local team as a goalkeeper. This led him on to join one of best football teams in Greece (Panathinaikos FC) where he played for several years. During that time, he faced a variety of injuries that informed his understanding of sports injuries and the emotional impact this has on the athletes.

His desire to specialise in sports rehabilitation led him to move to London in 2021 and start his Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine. During that time, he had the opportunity to meet and learn from experienced sport physiotherapists working at an elite level (Football & Dance).

As a therapist his aim is to identify the cause of the symptoms and to work alongside his patients. He enjoys supporting his patients throughout their rehabilitation journey and encouraging them to achieve their goals. His treatments combine soft-tissue techniques, exercise prescription and education according to patient’s needs.

In his free time, you can find Ilias watching or playing football, or walking around the parks of London.
