Anthony Brightwell is a Consultant Physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. Originally from the Netherlands, Anthony developed a deep-rooted passion for sport from a young age, particularly football, which he played at an elite level. His early experiences with club physiotherapists during his football career ignited a keen interest in injury management and rehabilitation. He pursued Sports Science studies in London, before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in Amsterdam in 2010. His professional journey began in a private clinic in the Netherlands, where he gained valuable experience in post-operative care, back and shoulder injuries. After moving to the UK in 2013, Anthony went on to manage several clinics at Ten Health & Fitness and later led the development of a new physiotherapy brand in London, before returning to Ten as a consultant physiotherapist.

Anthony’s path into physiotherapy was shaped by his early years as an elite footballer. Frequent exposure to physiotherapy through his own training and injuries gave him an appreciation for the role of movement and recovery in performance. Inspired by the transformative work of his physiotherapists, he transitioned from the pitch to the clinic, determined to help others recover, rebuild, and return stronger.

Anthony specialises in the treatment of neck and lower back pain, knee injuries, running-related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. He is especially known for his work with clients recovering from surgery, drawing on strong collaborations with top orthopaedic consultants across London.

As one of only five McKenzie Credentialed Therapists in the city, Anthony uses this method to deliver effective, evidence-based care for spinal conditions. His treatment sessions focus on functional and biomechanical assessments, combining manual therapy, postural correction, and personalised strength programs. He brings a calm, methodical approach to every session, with a strong focus on long-term outcomes and empowering clients in their recovery journey.

When he’s not treating clients, Anthony can often be found running, a passion that not only keeps him active but also informs his clinical interest in gait analysis and running mechanics. He also enjoys spending time with his family, exploring London’s green spaces, and staying connected to the sports world that first inspired his career.
Anthony’s favourite area to treat is the lumbar spine. He finds particular satisfaction in helping patients with persistent lower back pain achieve fast, sustainable results through the McKenzie Method.

He also enjoys working with runners, using gait analysis to prevent injury and enhance performance.
