Whether you’re training hard, spending long hours at a desk, managing stress, or simply feeling like your body needs a little support, Massage Therapy at Ten is designed to help you move and feel better.

Our expert Massage Therapists use a needs-led approach, combining hands-on techniques with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and movement. So your session won’t just feel good, it will be tailored to what your body needs on the day.

We specialise in Sports Massage and your therapist may use a combination of techniques within your session, depending on your goals and what they find.

Why start at Ten?

  • Expert therapists, personal treatment
Your Massage Therapist will take time to understand your body, your lifestyle, any areas of pain or tension, and what you want to get from your session. From there, they’ll tailor the treatment to you.
  • More than relaxation
Massage at Ten can help ease tight or sore muscles, support recovery, improve flexibility, reduce pain sensitivity, stimulate the lymphatic system, and support discomfort.
  • Part of a bigger picture
Because Ten offers Massage alongside Reformer Pilates, Physiotherapy, Personal Training and Clinical Exercise, your therapist can help connect the dots. If they feel you’d benefit from extra support, they can point you towards the right service or practitioner.

What can Massage help with?

FAQs
  • Relieve

For pain relief, tightness and tension.

Whether it’s postural strain from long days at a desk, muscle tightness from training, or tension that builds during stressful periods, our therapists can help ease discomfort and improve mobility.

Massage can support local circulation, reduce muscle tension and help your body relax. Ten’s own Massage Therapy page positions this as part of a targeted approach to pain relief and better movement.

  • Rehabilitate

For injury recovery, post-surgery support and chronic pain.

Massage can be a powerful part of your recovery. It can help reduce swelling, improve mobility and ease compensatory pain, the aches and tightness that often appear elsewhere when one part of the body is injured or restricted.

It can also work well alongside Ten’s Physiotherapy, Pilates and Clinical Exercise services, giving you a more joined-up route back to better movement.

  • Reinforce

For maintenance, stress support, and long-term wellbeing.

Massage isn’t just something to book when something hurts. Used regularly, it can help you maintain better movement, reduce recurring tension, support sleep, and manage the physical effects of stress.

That’s why two sessions are a better place to start than one: it gives your therapist a chance to understand your body, begin the work, and help you build a regular rhythm of recovery.

FAQs

  • Is Massage Therapy right for me?

Most likely, yes. Massage can support a wide range of needs, from easing sore or tight muscles and helping with post-workout recovery, to relieving desk related back and neck tension, reducing stress and supporting better movement.

And you don’t need to be an athlete to benefit. Sports Massage at Ten is a results driven approach that can help anyone looking to improve flexibility, ease painful muscles or support better movement.

  • What type of Massage should I book?

At Ten, we specialise in Sports Massage, Prenatal Massage and Scar Massage.

If you’re not sure which is right for you, get in touch with your preferred Studio. We’ll help you choose the right treatment for your body, your goals and your stage of life or recovery.

  • What will my first Massage be like?

Your therapist will start by asking about your body, lifestyle, any pain, tension, injury or conditions you’re managing, and what you’d like to get from the session.

They’ll then choose the techniques best suited to you. You may feel relaxed afterwards, and in some cases you may feel some soreness in areas that were tight or injured. Your therapist will talk you through what to expect.

  • What techniques do Ten Massage Therapists use?

Your therapist may use techniques depending on your needs.

    Such as:

    • Effleurage
    • myofascial release
    • deep tissue massage
    • trigger point techniques
    • muscle energy techniques.

These approaches help release tight soft tissue, reduce tension, support mobility and ease the niggles that can affect everyday movement.

  • Can Massage help if I’m training regularly?

Yes. Regular Sports Massage can help reduce the risk of injury, improve recovery time after workouts, support more frequent training and help prevent small tweaks or niggles becoming bigger problems.

  • Can I book Massage if I’m pregnant?

Prenatal Massage is safe and beneficial for the majority of mothers-to-be, and can help relieve common pregnancy discomforts. There may be some situations where massage is not appropriate, particularly in a high-risk pregnancy or with certain health conditions, so Ten advises checking with your doctor or midwife first. This is a specialised massage and can needs to be booked seperately from the intro offer.

  • Can Massage help with scars?

Yes. Ten’s Scar Massage Therapists have additional training in scar-specific techniques, working with both newer and older scars. Scar Massage can help improve mobility, reduce pain, itching or discomfort, support sensation and encourage softer, more mobile scar tissue. This is a specialised massage and can needs to be booked seperately from the intro offer.
