Olaf Heritage
Olaf’s passion for sport and exercise followed him all the way through school to university. Suffering with injuries along the way and attending therapy sessions on a regular basis, he developed a keen interest in the human body as well as injury treatment and prevention. A knee operation in his first year at University – and first-hand experience of the frustrations that injuries and the ensuing a lack of direction can bring – deepened this desire to help people get back to their full fitness.

In 2017, Olaf took the opportunity to fulfil his dream of travelling through Southeast Asia, returning 5 months later to continue pursuing his career in the sports and exercise industry, joining a Reformer Pilates studio in Hertfordshire. He was instantly drawn to Reformer Pilates, due to its heavy focus on posture, strength and flexibility which, combined with regular training and therapy, will lead to a much fitter, healthier and happier life. Kylie Coombes
Kylie moved to England from a small town in New Zealand in 2007 and fully immersed herself in the hustle and bustle of London. Kylie has always led a busy, active lifestyle, which she is very proud of. Before becoming a Pilates instructor, Kylie ran her own business and was very used to working long hours. She knows very well how this type of lifestyle can take a toll on the body and mind. Over the years, she found it increasingly important to make time in her schedule to look after herself and her body.

Kylie went through many different workout regimes, but as soon as she found Pilates, she knew this was the right thing for her. Pilates is fantastic at keeping the body and core strong, which helps to avoid injury and stress in physically demanding jobs. The deep connection with the breath is so good at calming the mind.

She loves that Pilates is for everyone, it doesn’t matter what age, shape or size you are, or what you want to accomplish. Pilates can help you achieve your fitness goals, and help you lead a happy, healthy life.

Maea Morgan
Movement has always been at the centre at Maea’s life. She has an extensive background of elite gymnastics and professional dance training. Through this intense training, Maea had initially formed an unhealthy relationship with fitness and exercise that created body image issues and apprehension about training.

However, having graduated from professional dance training, Maea discovered Yoga and Pilates. These forms of movement allowed her to enjoy and be grateful for her body’s ability to move with strength and fluidity. This helped her create a sense of fitness being not just physical but also mental, emotional and holistic; and her understanding that exercise is a passion and not a punishment.

As a trainer, Maea wishes to use her experiences and training to help others form a healthy relationship with movement and exercise that enhances not only their physical wellbeing but also their mental wellbeing and general lifestyle. Prioritising enjoyment and passion over level or ability will ensure every individual leaves feeling worked, fulfilled and happy. “It is not about what it looks like, it is about what it feels like.”

Maea aims to deliver well-rounded sessions, providing the necessary aspects to achieve strength and fluidity as well as enjoying the process of progressing.

Natalia Sofia Salas Dalmazzo
Natalia has had a passion for dance from a very young age. During her time at school, she had the opportunity to immerse herself in a wide range of dance styles through artistic workshops. These included traditional Chilean folklore, various Latin American dances, cheerleading, as well as modern and contemporary dance. These experiences allowed her to develop a deep appreciation for the diverse forms of expression within the world of dance.

This passion for movement and expression led Natalia to pursue a comprehensive education in Dance, with a specialization in Contemporary Dance, at ARCIS University. It was during her studies that she was introduced to the Pilates Technique, which profoundly impacted her approach to physical fitness and well-being. The dynamic and fluid nature of Pilates exercises resonated with her, and she was inspired by the rapid and tangible results it delivered in terms of strengthening and toning the body.

After completing her degree, she decided to deepen her involvement in Pilates by pursuing training as a Pilates mat and comprehensive instructor at Pilatesqi Chile. This additional training has allowed Natalia to expand her expertise and share her passion for Pilates with others.

Throughout her career, she has continuously sought out new approaches and methods to enhance her understanding of movement and physical expression. Currently, her primary focus is on integrating the principles of dance and Pilates to create a unique and holistic approach that emphasises fluidity, strength, and the mind-body connection.

Natalia’s commitment to personal and professional growth is unwavering. She is deeply passionate about sharing the numerous benefits of Pilates with her students and clients, and she is dedicated to contributing to their overall happiness and well-being through movement and mindful exercise.

Simone Leask
Simone discovered her love for the health and fitness industry back in New Zealand while studying at university, where her journey began in the comfort of her own apartment doing Youtube workouts between classes.

When she realised that an office job wasn’t for her, she turned to personal training and fitness instruction, determined to help others find a healthy relationship with their bodies and exercise. Since then she has explored a wide range of different workout styles including strength training and HIIT, however she has always enjoyed and returned to Pilates, loving the core strength and improvements in her flexibility that she has noticed after her sessions.

After moving to London Simone decided to take another step in her fitness career and become a qualified Pilates instructor, with the desire to teach and show others the benefits of Pilates.

Overall Simone strongly believes that health and fitness should be a positive and fun journey for everyone. She brings a bubbly, welcoming energy to each of her classes and uses this to help motivate and challenge each participant, leaving them feeling great and wanting more!

Outside of teaching Simone has a strong passion for Aerial Circus, and you’ll often find her hanging from the ceiling off silks and hoops. She also loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking mini get-aways to new locations.

Tom Lowe
Tom has always been obsessed with all things sport, health and fitness related. From an early age, he tried his hand at everything, including football, athletics, swimming, and rugby, to name just a few. This contnued through school, leading him to study Sport and Exercise Science at university, where he specialised in human anatomy and physiology and the effects exercise has on the body.

Keen to combine his university studies with his passion for working with others, Tom completed his Gym Instructor and Personal Training qualifications. He enjoys working closely with clients to help them unlock their potential, overcome challenges, and become the best version of themselves that they can be. Whether it is teaching a new client the basics of the gym, or training elite athletes in a strength and conditioning environment, Tom feels that a combination of communication, team-work and dedication can achieve most goals.

Always striving to push himself and increase his knowledge in the industry, Tom went on to gain his BACPR Level 4 Cardiac Exercise Instructor qualification, allowing him to help clinical populations with exercise prescription. It was during this time that he fell in love with clinical exercise prescription, and the opportunity to help clients with specific clinical needs, goals, and requirements. For Tom, helping people restore their day-to-day fitness after suffering health problems is as much – if not more – of an achievement as hitting a personal best on a bench press or 5k best time.

As a result, Tom has worked with GP referral clients in both a 1-2-1 and group exercise setting. Working together to achieve a common goal, and facing a variety of barriers and physical conditions, is the way he loves to work. Being able to understand specific needs, work through obstacles in the most effective ways for the clients and continuously developing their health, wellbeing and confidence is a particular strength of his. From improving the range of motion at specific joints, to increasing cardiovascular fitness to improve the quality of daily functional activities – no matter the aim, if it’s important to the client, it’s important to Tom.

Tom combines high energy and enthusiasm with a depth of practical and theoretical knowledge to provide fun, valuable, and thorough sessions that will support clients on their individual journeys.

Sahara Elliot
Sahara grew up dancing competitively, leading her to have a career in being a dance instructor. With 10 years of instructing dance under her belt, she decided to make the leap into exercise and fitness. Following the completion of a personal training program, Sahara has taught a variety of HIIT and strength classes. She values the knowledge of controlling movement, and assuring the best outcome for clients.

Recently, Sahara moved from Vancouver, Canada to London for a change of pace. She is now training in a local dance company, as well as taking her fitness knowledge further with Pilates. As she has been doing pilates for 5+ years, she wanted to become more well-versed in all types of fitness and thought that the control and strength you have to do in a pilates class was beneficial for every person.

Sahara’s goal is to assure every person who comes in feels comfortable and excited, regardless of experience. Making fitness a welcoming place has been the goal for the last few years, as she knows stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary. She loves to keep her energy high and create a fun environment to be in.

She participated in various sports, with hockey later becoming her passion, where she competed with her teams at numerous national championship competitions and also in the premier league. Teamwork and dedication are skills she carries through life.

Her knowledge about the influence of a healthy lifestyle was furthered during her studies of Sport and Exercise Science and a masters in Sports Therapy. Martha’s experiences treating injured patients during her Sports Therapy placement, and from becoming injured herself, means she understands the debilitating effects that injury and illness can have and therefore the importance of good rehabilitation and consistency. From working with many people, often with the same injury, she recognises that every person is unique and requires their own rehabilitation plan. She enjoys working with people to improve their quality of life and assist them to achieve their goals.

Martha believes that exercise improves day to day productivity and state of mind. She attributes her organisational and driven nature to balancing both work and exercise.

Alexia Scott
Alexia is originally from France where she started to do different sports at a young age. She used to ski, swim and started her dance training alongside those activities.

Her dance background includes mostly Ballet but also Jazz and Contemporary dance. She trained professionally in Ballet, first in Lyon-France, before moving to London in 2014 to pursue her professional training and started her dance career. She participated in workshops in Austria, Switzerland, France and England where her dance journey allowed her to meet and dance for different choreographers. She was first introduced to the Pilates Method after an injury and used the method as rehabilitation. She then kept this as a part of her dance training as she found this really interesting to see and understand the mechanism of the body and how to look after it. The method is also a very good way of keeping a healthy lifestyle but also preventing injury and reduces pain.

She completed her Pilates Matwork Course with Body Control Pilates in 2020.

To deepen her knowledge in human’s body mechanism and ho to look after it, she qualified as an assisted stretchtologist where the main focus is to release tensions and body tissues through exercises of assisted stretches.

She has found in Pilates a better mind and body awareness as well as a way to improve people’s posture. She also likes to combine her exercises while incorporating the Alexander technique (a method that she herself undertook as part of her rehabilitation after her injury). Alexia’s classes are built to guide people, encourage them, help them reaching their goals and challenge them in their progression. Her Favourite part of the job is to see people smiling and laughing!

When Alexia is not working at the studio, you will most likely find her doing more exercises outdoor such as running with her Spaniel, enjoying good food from different market places or visiting and discovering more places.

With this founding knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal injury, Katy is here to help with any restrictions, imbalances, or pain caused from an existing or previous injury including post-op scar recovery.

No matter who the person is, Katy is a firm believer of a holistic assessment and targeting the body as a whole… Chances are, if you’re struggling in one area of the body, it’s influencing somewhere else too!

Coming from a dance background and now training in both pilates and yoga, Katy is eager to help with posture, flexibility, and mobility work. She has also gone on to do further training in women’s health, including pre and postnatal massage and soft tissue therapy. Again she takes a holistic viewpoint looking at your lifestyle, pelvic floor activation, and breath work to name a few!

Outside of work you’ll find Katy eager to travel, particularly pretty cities and anywhere she can be by the sea/in nature! Katy loves reading, cozy cafes, or getting back into her love of ballet/dance.

Jana Matouskova

Jana began her career in 2009, working for the Daily Mail newspaper as a personal trainer to executive employees where she was able to gain a wealth of experience with a broad range of clients. This involved designing training programmes, assessing lifestyle changes and most importantly, getting clients into great shape and maintaining it.

Wanting to develop her career further, Jana took her knowledge to the next level and trained as a strength & conditioning coach as well as a biosignature modulation practitioner with the Poliquin institute. Having a real thirst for the health and fitness industry, Jana then decided to compete in multiple WBFF fitness shows.

As well as being a sports massage therapist, Jana is also full body certified in ART® (Active Release Techniques). This technique has given her a great advantage in the assessment and treatment of specific injuries such as tennis elbow, jumpers knee, lower back pain and migraines.

Aside from her personal training clients, Jana works with athletes from the British Athletic Team as an on-site therapist and regularly utilizes her extensive knowledge of body biomechanics, injury prevention and functional nutrition.

Jana’s latest hobby is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is quickly become her favourite sport. When Jana is not in the gym, treatment room or teaching, you can find her in the studio painting or reading.

Danilo Caruso
Originally from the beautiful island of Sicily, Danilo has been a devotee of sport and exercise since (almost) as long as he could walk.

He began at just 3 years old, practicing Judo with his Aunt (a multiple world champion) and then trying has hand at a variety of sports before discovering dance at 14.

Danilo’s hobby became his profession, as he passed the audition for one of the most prestigious arts universities in Europe, Codarts, in Holland, before moving to the UK, where he graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. (As a Postgraduate, he also won the prize for best achievement of the year in 2012.)

After his graduation Danilo worked as a professional dancer for a number of leading national and international choreographers. He danced as lead performer for the National Theatre, as well performing at the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells, both in London and in their UK tours.

He has always used Pilates as a base for his training, having discovered that it was the most efficient way to prevent injuries. After gaining his Matt Pilates qualification, he decided to combine his Pilates knowledge with the benefits of his dance experience and understanding of body awareness, muscle isolation and proprioception by teaching Pilates to professional dancers.

Danilo’s passion to share his knowledge and insights with a wider audience led him to join the Training team at Ten.

He likes a laugh, loves parks, nice walks, a good book, photography and of course mamma’s cooking.

Eloise Harvey
Eloise’s passion for working within an exercise sector started when choosing her GCSE’s. One of her biggest achievements was completing her undergraduate dissertation. She focused on individuals post stroke and created a series of presentations to change their behaviours towards physical activity. To further her development, she then undertook a master’s in clinical exercise physiology which allowed her to specialise and improve her knowledge on prescribing exercise to people suffering from medical conditions and facilitating change in behaviours towards leading a healthy lifestyle. Eloise knew she wanted to change people’s views towards exercise after clinical diagnosis, whether that be after a life-changing event or ongoing medical condition.

During Eloise’s master’s degree, she was fortunate enough to talk to people who have been through cancer and cardiac rehabilitation, showing how important exercise is following these events. Talking to people who have followed rehabilitation programmes inspired Eloise to follow an interest in clinical exercise and continues to keep up to date with current research. Eloise previously worked as a sports and teaching assistant in a primary school, allowing her to teach different sports and exercises to a variety of children, ranging from 4-11 years old. She learnt many vital lessons from this job, including the ability to adapt exercise to suit everyone. Regardless of whether she is in a school setting or gym, she has a smile on her face and always looks for the positive rather than the negatives.

To expand her knowledge, Eloise completed her Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications. This led her to develop extensive experience working with various individuals and tailoring exercise programmes. She has a strong belief that exercise should be fun and tailored to everyone, so communicating, discussing, and working with clients to create their exercise programmes is vital.

Eloise has shown true talent in athletics, specifically in long and triple jump. She has previously competed for England and Great Britain as a young athlete, and after battling injuries, hopes to get back to national level of competition in the upcoming years. She understands how hard it can be to lose confidence in your exercise capabilities and knows that sometimes you feel like it’s easier to stop and give in to failure, but with the right support team around you, anything is possible. She found the right support needed to get her back enjoying the sport and managing her injuries and she wants to use her own experiences and challenges to help other people.

Courtney Wood
Courtney was raised in a sporting nation, where her vision of life encompassed physical pursuits, outdoor adventures, and true tests of determination. With time, she began to understand and value the capability of her body. She thrived on commitment to training, exerting her body to her own vision of success. Many times, she was faced with challenges she did not believe she could endure, and each time, she did. Realising the vital role her mind played in her performance, she began to follow a more holistic approach to training. She has since found exercise a wonderful connection of her body and mind, developing her physical and inner strength.

Courtney’s passion for sport remained with her throughout her childhood and adult years, leading her down the path of attaining a Sport and Exercise Science degree from the University of Surrey. She gained three CIMPSA qualifications throughout her degree: Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Working with People with Long Term Conditions. She explored pathology, immunology, and exercise referral during the course, which confirmed her passion for the clinical sector. There is strong scientific evidence that being physically active can lead to a healthier and happier life, while also reducing risk or aiding the management of some conditions. Exercise has also been proven to help prevent non-communicable diseases such as, heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. Therefore, an understanding of how the body responds to exercise, on a physiological level, seems fundamental to achieving optimal results.

Courtney is a hard-working individual, dedicated to learning and applying her knowledge. She grasps the uniqueness of the human body and intends to train each client as distinctively as possible. Courtney is a positive, calm person with a kind heart. She has a good sense of humour and values the importance of a comfortable training environment. Your health and safety are her top priority.

Olivia Lakhina
Olivia’s passion for health and fitness started in her teens. Over time, her lifelong passion for exercise expanded to incorporate her growing interest in the mental as well as physical motivations that drive people towards – or – rom a healthier lifestyle.

Keen to understand more about the psychology of health behaviours, Olivia studied for a BSc in Psychology followed by an MSc in Human Nutrition and further Diploma in the Psychology of Eating.

She began her career as a nutrition and behavioural science research assistant, all the while, practicing Pilates on a daily basis to counteract the long periods of time spent sitting at a desk.

After a hiatus from research, working in high-end hospitality management for three years, Olivia made the decision to combine her love for working in a people-driven environment with her background in health and fitness. She went on to complete her level 3 personal training and Pilates qualifications before coming to Ten.

Olivia’s approach to training is holistic, combining her expertise in fuelling the body optimally with Dynamic Reformer Pilates to help her clients achieve long-term sustainable results. Her classes are welcoming and varied, focusing on form and technique and how her clients feel in their bodies.

When not at the studio, you’ll most likely find Olivia travelling the world, hosting a casual dinner party or trying out a new restaurant, cafe or bar opening in London.

Caroll Kerner
Caroll is originally from the Champagne region in France. To say that she likes travel and physical challenges is something of an understatement.

She has always been a keen horserider and a runner. When she moved to London she discovered Thai boxing, and after a few years’ training, moved to Kho Samui where she trained for a further five months, taking part in three fights (and winning all three).

On returning to London, she was persuaded to enter her first London Marathon – the first of 14 marathons (5 of them in London) all completed in good times, along with a100km race, which she finished in just over 10 hours.

When she lived in Australia and Vanuatu she took up cycling, and as a result found herself competing in the Alpes d’Huez. With its 21 hairpins, this is one of the legendary ascents of the Tour de France, which she climbed in just over an hour on a steel bike.

Just to add an extra element of challenge (and yet more travel), Caroll trained in Krav Maga in Israel, qualifying as an Instructor. And picking up some injuries along the way, which in turn, introduced her to Pilates and her teaching qualification.

Over the past decade she has participated in a number of courses at the some most respected institutes in the field of holistic health and exercise. With her in-depth understanding (and personal experience) that functional movement patterns are essential to maintain a healthy, efficient and pain free body, Carroll ensures that Pilates is at the core of every exercise and program that she does.

As a Trainer, Caroll is strict yet patient; a perfectionist but also a good motivator. As the basis of all Pilates, she insists on correct and transferable technique in all exercises – so you can practice in everyday life what you learn in class. But above all, she aims to develop routines that suit, stimulate and encourage everyone in her classes.

Sydney Lartey
Sydney has been actively involved in the world of health & fitness since the age of 6, from participating in Martial arts, to football and athletics. Running 100m, 110m hurdle, 200m and 4x100m relay in athletics for the Merton region and playing in multiple football teams such as Oakway Royals, Epsom and Ewell, winning club top scorer in his debut season.

With over a decade of training experience Sydney took up life as a PT after his father fell ill due to poor eating habits.

Since then, he has gained multiple certifications and proudly led several athletes to breaking and holding multiple British, European and world powerlifting records, including a successful defence of the world title in July 2022.

After suffering a back injury in a cycling accident, Sydney became obsessed with human movement and how each of our body parts are connected to each other through movement. Believing firmly in applying science to every aspect of training to maximise potential results and minimise injury risk, naturally Sydney’s motto became; Better Movement, Better Performance.

Sydney takes both a practical and theoretical scientific approach to assess his clients and structure suitable training programs. His programs are progressive to allow for gradual increments in load, and dynamic to enable changes to be made when needed.

In addition to his health & fitness qualifications, Sydney also has a Diploma in Applied Science & Medical Science, from Kingston college. In between his busy training schedules, you can rely on this PT being up to date with a multitude of sports from Football, Formula One, Rugby, Tennis, Bodybuilding, Strongman, and many more. He also enjoys long walks and deep conversations about life’s mysteries.

No prior experience is necessary for this class; a basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential. Clients are introduced to the equipment, techniques and some basic exercises. Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.
Sarah Rose Pearce-Mariner (Massage Hybrid)
Sarah has always been drawn to movement and fitness of any kind. From Athletics to Hockey, Pilates to running and Jiu Jitsu to dance she has embraced it all and will always jump feet first into new challenges.

Having trained as a professional dancer and spent over a decade in the industry, she has performed in national tours, international shows, TV and Film. She has always been grateful that she was able to turn her passion into a career and was also able to gain valuable knowledge of the body, injuries and rehab throughout. She has particularly loved discovering the magic of Pilates and its power to hold the body in a balance of strength and suppleness – the key to a long, injury-free career and life.

Her years in dance led to a passion for teaching, anatomy, remedial therapy and helping people. Always keen to increase her skillset, Sarah retrained as a Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist at North London School of Sports Massage and as a Pilates instructor, through Ten’s accredited Academy.

Sarah understands the body, what it is capable of and that you can always achieve more than you believe. She particularly enjoys implementing knowledge from her dance background and clinical practice to teaching classes and training 1:1 clients. Whatever your goals may be, she will be your biggest cheerleader, main advocate for your progress and will make sure you always remember ‘you’ve got this and you’re smashing it’.

She loves to create a ‘let’s tackle this as a team’ energy with her clients and classes. Seeing a noticeable improvement in how they feel and move is what gets her out of bed in the morning! She won’t rest until you feel your best you and thriving both physically and mentally.

Sarah is rarely found sitting still and loves to keep active and creative. When she’s not working, you’ll find her in a pilates class, behind a camera, dancing on stage, making jewellery or doodling, running or walking in the great outdoors.
