Simone Leask
Simone discovered her love for the health and fitness industry back in New Zealand while studying at university, where her journey began in the comfort of her own apartment doing Youtube workouts between classes.

When she realised that an office job wasn’t for her, she turned to personal training and fitness instruction, determined to help others find a healthy relationship with their bodies and exercise. Since then she has explored a wide range of different workout styles including strength training and HIIT, however she has always enjoyed and returned to Pilates, loving the core strength and improvements in her flexibility that she has noticed after her sessions.

After moving to London Simone decided to take another step in her fitness career and become a qualified Pilates instructor, with the desire to teach and show others the benefits of Pilates.

Overall Simone strongly believes that health and fitness should be a positive and fun journey for everyone. She brings a bubbly, welcoming energy to each of her classes and uses this to help motivate and challenge each participant, leaving them feeling great and wanting more!

Outside of teaching Simone has a strong passion for Aerial Circus, and you’ll often find her hanging from the ceiling off silks and hoops. She also loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking mini get-aways to new locations.

Caroll Kerner
Caroll is originally from the Champagne region in France. To say that she likes travel and physical challenges is something of an understatement.

She has always been a keen horserider and a runner. When she moved to London she discovered Thai boxing, and after a few years’ training, moved to Kho Samui where she trained for a further five months, taking part in three fights (and winning all three).

On returning to London, she was persuaded to enter her first London Marathon – the first of 14 marathons (5 of them in London) all completed in good times, along with a100km race, which she finished in just over 10 hours.

When she lived in Australia and Vanuatu she took up cycling, and as a result found herself competing in the Alpes d’Huez. With its 21 hairpins, this is one of the legendary ascents of the Tour de France, which she climbed in just over an hour on a steel bike.

Just to add an extra element of challenge (and yet more travel), Caroll trained in Krav Maga in Israel, qualifying as an Instructor. And picking up some injuries along the way, which in turn, introduced her to Pilates and her teaching qualification.

Over the past decade she has participated in a number of courses at the some most respected institutes in the field of holistic health and exercise. With her in-depth understanding (and personal experience) that functional movement patterns are essential to maintain a healthy, efficient and pain free body, Carroll ensures that Pilates is at the core of every exercise and program that she does.

As a Trainer, Caroll is strict yet patient; a perfectionist but also a good motivator. As the basis of all Pilates, she insists on correct and transferable technique in all exercises – so you can practice in everyday life what you learn in class. But above all, she aims to develop routines that suit, stimulate and encourage everyone in her classes.

Having trained as a professional dancer and spent over a decade in the industry, she has performed in national tours, international shows, TV and Film. She has always been grateful that she was able to turn her passion into a career and was also able to gain valuable knowledge of the body, injuries and rehab throughout. Lauren Chapelhow
Lauren was introduced to Pilates as a part of her full-time dance education. Like many dancers, Lauren was no stranger to injury and postural imbalances, and was captivated by what Pilates had to offer.

After working for a short period as a performer, Lauren discovered that she thrived more in a teaching environment and took on work as a dance teacher and eventually set up her own recreational dance school in Stockholm for adults. Pilates became an integral part of the teaching method of the adult students and was the main form of conditioning used by the school.

She also set up a non-profit organisation which offered few weekly dance classes and practise spaces for adults who were suffering from depression, anxiety or loneliness. She noticed the positive effects of dancing and exercise in those around her, and wanted it to be accessible for everyone regardless of their circumstances.

Lauren began to organise dance workshops and events in Sweden with participants attending from all over the World, Brazil, New Zealand, Canada, Russia, Poland, Israel and many more. She also had the privilege to assist some world-famous dancers in teaching their workshops.

After discovering her love for teaching, she then went on to become a full-time group fitness instructor for SATS Sverige teaching concepts such as Core, Power Pilates, Les Mills, Spin, Running, Mobility, HIIT, Zumba and Aerobics.

In parallel, Lauren gained her Personal Trainer qualification as she wanted to be able to work in a one-to-one setting with her clients. Since moving back to England, Lauren has worked as a personal trainer. At Ten, she is thrilled to be working amongst some of the best trainers in the UK, who also share the same mindset toward training – that it should be about improving quality of life through better movement.

As a trainer Lauren believes you should continuously work on having a strong foundation. This means working on mind-muscle connection, muscular imbalances and awakening dormant muscles. Lauren takes a lot of inspiration from calisthenics and gymnastics movements to help build that base, as they require a lot of strength, mobility and stability – the perfect combo.

Chloe O'Sullivan
Chloe was born and raised in Ireland. Sport has always been a huge part of her life, and she played a variety of sports growing up but focussed mostly on Gaelic Football.

She has always been truly fascinated by the application and influence of science in sports. This fascination evolved even further when she started studying for her undergraduate degree in sports science and was able to delve deeper into various aspects of sports science such as biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and psychology.

It was really when Chloe was on placement in a cardio-rehabilitation centre, working with clinical populations, that she truly started to see the bigger picture. She witnessed first-hand how beneficial and effective exercise was for treating various chronic conditions, and that was when the saying ‘exercise is medicine’ really came to life for her. Sam Campbell (Clinical)
Sam graduated university with an honours degree in Sport Rehabilitation. His primary focus was on musculoskeletal injury, movement preparation and execution.

Sam employs the bio psychosocial model when working with clients to help aid in not only what is best for them physically, but also psychologically and socially. He uniquely targets each treatment to the individual.

His experience in this sector ranges from working with clients within private Physiotherapy clinics, amateur rugby teams and multi-stage rehabilitation centres. He was able to utilise the pool & gym facilities as well as specific movement pattern training combining the latest motion capture and force plate technology.

He strongly believes that movement is medicine and “motion is lotion” with progressive and appropriate dosage depending on how the individual feels that day.

Sarah Rose Pearce-Mariner (Massage Hybrid)
Sarah has always been drawn to movement and fitness of any kind. From Athletics to Hockey, Pilates to running and Jiu Jitsu to dance she has embraced it all and will always jump feet first into new challenges.

Having trained as a professional dancer and spent over a decade in the industry, she has performed in national tours, international shows, TV and Film. She has always been grateful that she was able to turn her passion into a career and was also able to gain valuable knowledge of the body, injuries and rehab throughout. She has particularly loved discovering the magic of Pilates and its power to hold the body in a balance of strength and suppleness – the key to a long, injury-free career and life.

Her years in dance led to a passion for teaching, anatomy, remedial therapy and helping people. Always keen to increase her skillset, Sarah retrained as a Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist at North London School of Sports Massage and as a Pilates instructor, through Ten’s accredited Academy.

Sarah understands the body, what it is capable of and that you can always achieve more than you believe. She particularly enjoys implementing knowledge from her dance background and clinical practice to teaching classes and training 1:1 clients. Whatever your goals may be, she will be your biggest cheerleader, main advocate for your progress and will make sure you always remember ‘you’ve got this and you’re smashing it’.

She loves to create a ‘let’s tackle this as a team’ energy with her clients and classes. Seeing a noticeable improvement in how they feel and move is what gets her out of bed in the morning! She won’t rest until you feel your best you and thriving both physically and mentally.

Sarah is rarely found sitting still and loves to keep active and creative. When she’s not working, you’ll find her in a pilates class, behind a camera, dancing on stage, making jewellery or doodling, running or walking in the great outdoors.

Fabiana Osborne
Fabi started to practice Pilates back in Bento Goncalves, in southern Brazil when she was in her teens. Moving to Europe in her 20’s, Fabi left behind her beloved friends, dance and volleyball but brought her love of Pilates with her. She lived and worked in Lisbon, Bologna and Paris before eventually settling in London.

Fabi describes her teaching style as gentle but with purpose, dynamic and challenging. She is hands-on in correcting posture and alignments, focusing on breathing, control and precision of the movements. Fabi’s aim is for people to come out of her class feeling proud of how far they pushed themselves and excited about their next class.

The benefits of applying movement as a form of therapy is something Fabi has first-hand experience of. She firmly believes that exercise helped her cope mentally and physically when she went through cancer treatment herself, and it’s what inspired her to specialise in Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation.

Away from the Pilates studio Fabi enjoys spending time with her family, expanding her knowledge of healthy eating, brewing kombucha, listening to Jazz and exploring the English countryside.
