Born with a passion for exercise and the belief in its power to enhance both physical and mental well-being, Jeanna made it her mission to educate others on the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

 

Jeanna is a true lover of life and living it to the fullest. She always found herself seeking adventure and the rush of endorphins that came with it – whether it was hiking up Table Mountain, swimming in the ocean, or running along the promenade.

 

Growing up, she participated in various sports, but athletics stole her heart, especially the fast-paced excitement of short sprints and sprint relays. This balance of individual competition and teamwork has stayed with her and continues to define her in the workplace today.

 

With an unwavering work ethic, a go-getter attitude, and a natural talent for encouragement, Jeanna is a force to be reckoned with and a valuable asset to any team she’s a part of.

 

This drive to stay active led her to pursue her passions at Stellenbosch University, where she earned a degree in Sports Science and completed her Honours in Biokinetics. Now, Jeanna is on a mission to share her wealth of knowledge and inspire others to live their best lives through exercise and healthy habits.

 

Jeanna truly enjoys working with people and helping individuals regain their full ability. Not only does it enhance their quality of life, but it also contributes to their overall happiness and health. An upbeat and energising session, ideal for Intermediate clients keen to try the extra challenge that our Advanced Classes offer, but unsure about what to expect. It’s also a great reintroduction for Advanced clients coming back after some time off. It’s a little slower-paced than a regular Advanced Class (though you’ll still challenge yourself and raise a sweat). We’ll focus on optimal form and technique, along with an introduction to some new advanced level exercises, and next-level progressions of familiar routines.

Dancing since the age of 4, Lauren graduated from Addict Dance Academy with a First Class BA Hons in Professional Dance in 2022 and has been working in the fitness industry since 2016.
 

With experience teaching group exercise classes, as well as working with clients 1:1, online and in person, Lauren is passionate about what she does and strongly believes that exercise should be enjoyable and accessible to all, rather than a chore.

 

With a more holistic approach to training, Lauren takes pride in prioritising her client’s physical and mental health, taking everyone’s circumstances into consideration. Whether it’s in class, or a 1:1 session, your individual needs will always be a priority to Lauren, who likes to remind her clients that there are no silly questions – the goal is always to feel comfortable and then realise that you are capable of so much more than you think. It’s no surprise that clients who train with Lauren gain not only strength but confidence too.

 

During her years of professional dance training, Lauren developed an understanding of how dance and fitness go hand in hand – she was inspired to become a Personal Trainer around the same time she had also began teaching Pilates Mat Work and Trigger Point Pilates – following in the footsteps of her mum, as an instructor.

 

Since then, Lauren has been an advocate for Pilates training in the dance world too, with injury prevention and rehabilitation properties, as well as more obvious benefits of being able to improve posture and even out any imbalances in the body, building strength from within – Pilates is the solution.

 

Aside from dancing in her free time, you can also find Lauren reading, eating or at the theatre – she loves a musical!

Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Sam relocated to London one and a half years ago, bringing her vibrant enthusiasm for health and exercise with her. Sam’s lifelong passion for physical activity began during her school days, where she participated in various sports, including netball, hockey, and touch rugby. As she grew older, her focus shifted towards running and gym-based exercise.
 

Sam’s love for exercise led her to the University of Auckland, where she gained a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Exercise Science & Physiology. Her academic achievements highlight her dedication to understanding the complexities of the human body. Sam’s core belief is in the healing and transformative power of exercise, not only for physical health but also for mental well-being. She is deeply interested in how exercise affects different organs of the body and is an advocate for nurturing our bodies through movement and proper care.

 

Beyond her academic pursuits, Sam actively promotes a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Her commitment to the well-being of others makes her a valuable addition to any team or project focused on improving lives through exercise. Improve all-round flexibility and mobility, with specific focus on the areas that are most under stress from today's sedentary and desk-bound working lives. No specific level of fitness or experience is required. So if you are learning to move again after an injury, lack flexibility around the spine, knees, hips and shoulders or are just looking for a safe, expert and intensely effective stretch class, this is the class for you.
Simone Leask
Simone discovered her love for the health and fitness industry back in New Zealand while studying at university, where her journey began in the comfort of her own apartment doing Youtube workouts between classes.
 

When she realised that an office job wasn’t for her, she turned to personal training and fitness instruction, determined to help others find a healthy relationship with their bodies and exercise. Since then she has explored a wide range of different workout styles including strength training and HIIT, however she has always enjoyed and returned to Pilates, loving the core strength and improvements in her flexibility that she has noticed after her sessions.

 

After moving to London Simone decided to take another step in her fitness career and become a qualified Pilates instructor, with the desire to teach and show others the benefits of Pilates.

 

Overall Simone strongly believes that health and fitness should be a positive and fun journey for everyone. She brings a bubbly, welcoming energy to each of her classes and uses this to help motivate and challenge each participant, leaving them feeling great and wanting more!

 

Outside of teaching Simone has a strong passion for Aerial Circus, and you’ll often find her hanging from the ceiling off silks and hoops. She also loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking mini get-aways to new locations.

Dancing since the age of 4, Lauren graduated from Addict Dance Academy with a First Class BA Hons in Professional Dance in 2022 and has been working in the fitness industry since 2016.
 

With experience teaching group exercise classes, as well as working with clients 1:1, online and in person, Lauren is passionate about what she does and strongly believes that exercise should be enjoyable and accessible to all, rather than a chore.

 

With a more holistic approach to training, Lauren takes pride in prioritising her client’s physical and mental health, taking everyone’s circumstances into consideration. Whether it’s in class, or a 1:1 session, your individual needs will always be a priority to Lauren, who likes to remind her clients that there are no silly questions – the goal is always to feel comfortable and then realise that you are capable of so much more than you think. It’s no surprise that clients who train with Lauren gain not only strength but confidence too.

 

During her years of professional dance training, Lauren developed an understanding of how dance and fitness go hand in hand – she was inspired to become a Personal Trainer around the same time she had also began teaching Pilates Mat Work and Trigger Point Pilates – following in the footsteps of her mum, as an instructor.

 

Since then, Lauren has been an advocate for Pilates training in the dance world too, with injury prevention and rehabilitation properties, as well as more obvious benefits of being able to improve posture and even out any imbalances in the body, building strength from within – Pilates is the solution.

 

Aside from dancing in her free time, you can also find Lauren reading, eating or at the theatre – she loves a musical!

Using Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Barrel, Wunda Chair and Cadillac, in these small group classes at Little Venice you will follow your own individual programme as you rotate between each piece of Pilates equipment. Each machine features a system of springs, creating resistance to allow and encourage the muscles of the hips, shoulders, arms and legs to work effectively. The resistance of each machine can be altered and set to suit the needs of each individual. This enables our team to devise a programme to facilitate the best possible outcome for our clients’ varying needs.

An introductory assessment/therapist referral is required prior to taking part in a Group Circuit class.
 
All Group Circuit classes at Little Venice/Notting Hill Pilates have a maximum of four clients and provide individual targeted tuition. Exercises are provided to suit your individual goals and needs within a small group session lead by a senior or master level Pilates instructor or therapist

Having trained as a professional dancer and spent over a decade in the industry, she has performed in national tours, international shows, TV and Film. She has always been grateful that she was able to turn her passion into a career and was also able to gain valuable knowledge of the body, injuries and rehab throughout. She has particularly loved discovering the magic of Pilates and its power to hold the body in a balance of strength and suppleness – the key to a long, injury-free career and life.

 

Her years in dance led to a passion for teaching, anatomy, remedial therapy and helping people. Always keen to increase her skillset, Sarah retrained as a Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist at North London School of Sports Massage and as a Pilates instructor, through Ten’s accredited Academy.

 

Sarah understands the body, what it is capable of and that you can always achieve more than you believe. She particularly enjoys implementing knowledge from her dance background and clinical practice to teaching classes and training 1:1 clients. Sarah has always been drawn to movement and fitness of any kind. From Athletics to Hockey, Pilates to running and Jiu Jitsu to dance she has embraced it all and will always jump feet first into new challenges.
 

Having trained as a professional dancer and spent over a decade in the industry, she has performed in national tours, international shows, TV and Film. She has always been grateful that she was able to turn her passion into a career and was also able to gain valuable knowledge of the body, injuries and rehab throughout. She has particularly loved discovering the magic of Pilates and its power to hold the body in a balance of strength and suppleness – the key to a long, injury-free career and life.

 

Her years in dance led to a passion for teaching, anatomy, remedial therapy and helping people. Always keen to increase her skillset, Sarah retrained as a Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapist at North London School of Sports Massage and as a Pilates instructor, through Ten’s accredited Academy.

 

Sarah understands the body, what it is capable of and that you can always achieve more than you believe. She particularly enjoys implementing knowledge from her dance background and clinical practice to teaching classes and training 1:1 clients. Whatever your goals may be, she will be your biggest cheerleader, main advocate for your progress and will make sure you always remember ‘you’ve got this and you’re smashing it’.

 

She loves to create a ‘let’s tackle this as a team’ energy with her clients and classes. Seeing a noticeable improvement in how they feel and move is what gets her out of bed in the morning! She won’t rest until you feel your best you and thriving both physically and mentally.

Using Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Barrel, Wunda Chair and Cadillac, in these small group classes at Little Venice you will follow your own individual programme as you rotate between each piece of Pilates equipment. Each machine features a system of springs, creating resistance to allow and encourage the muscles of the hips, shoulders, arms and legs to work effectively. The resistance of each machine can be altered and set to suit the needs of each individual. This enables our team to devise a programme to facilitate the best possible outcome for our clients’ varying needs.

An introductory assessment/therapist referral is required prior to taking part in a Group Circuit class.
 
All Group Circuit classes at Little Venice/Notting Hill Pilates have a maximum of four clients and provide individual targeted tuition. Exercises are provided to suit your individual goals and needs within a small group session lead by a senior or master level Pilates instructor or therapist
Caitlin Irving (physio)
Originally from New Zealand, Caitlin is a Physiotherapist specialising in MSK and Pelvic Health. She graduated from Auckland University of Technology and has worked in both Hospital and Private settings.

 

Throughout her career she has developed a particular interest in Pelvic health and has completed specialised courses to be able to treat and assess Pelvic health conditions. During this time, she also developed her own passion with Reformer Pilates, completing her training in 2022. She believes it’s a valuable tool and incorporates it into patient rehabilitation. Caitlin uses a holistic and comprehensive approach, crafting individualised treatment plans that consider both immediate concerns and broader physical well-being.

 

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys going for walks, attending Pilates classes and practising yoga at home. She believes it’s important to maintain a healthy work-life balance in which she reflects into her practice. Caitlin looks forward to bringing a unique approach to health & fitness.

Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Sam relocated to London one and a half years ago, bringing her vibrant enthusiasm for health and exercise with her. Sam’s lifelong passion for physical activity began during her school days, where she participated in various sports, including netball, hockey, and touch rugby. As she grew older, her focus shifted towards running and gym-based exercise.
 

Sam’s love for exercise led her to the University of Auckland, where she gained a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Exercise Science & Physiology. Her academic achievements highlight her dedication to understanding the complexities of the human body. Sam’s core belief is in the healing and transformative power of exercise, not only for physical health but also for mental well-being. She is deeply interested in how exercise affects different organs of the body and is an advocate for nurturing our bodies through movement and proper care.

 

Beyond her academic pursuits, Sam actively promotes a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Her commitment to the well-being of others makes her a valuable addition to any team or project focused on improving lives through exercise. Sam Bloxham
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Sam relocated to London one and a half years ago, bringing her vibrant enthusiasm for health and exercise with her. Sam’s lifelong passion for physical activity began during her school days, where she participated in various sports, including netball, hockey, and touch rugby. As she grew older, her focus shifted towards running and gym-based exercise.
 

Sam’s love for exercise led her to the University of Auckland, where she gained a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Exercise Science & Physiology. Her academic achievements highlight her dedication to understanding the complexities of the human body. Sam’s core belief is in the healing and transformative power of exercise, not only for physical health but also for mental well-being. She is deeply interested in how exercise affects different organs of the body and is an advocate for nurturing our bodies through movement and proper care.

 

Beyond her academic pursuits, Sam actively promotes a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Her commitment to the well-being of others makes her a valuable addition to any team or project focused on improving lives through exercise. Sam’s unique ability to help people discover their true potential, especially when recovering from injury, sets her apart as a compassionate and skilled advocate for holistic health and well-being.

Slower paced than a normal Intermediate class, you’ll learn how familiar exercises are transformed into an intermediate progression. It's also the ideal environment to get to grips with some of the new and more challenging exercises you’ll encounter.

Lucy enjoys exercise as a celebration of what our bodies can do, and especially likes the use of Pilates for exercise recovery/rehabilitation and injury prevention.

As a circus artist, Lucy prefers to use a proactive approach and aims to prevent injuries before they happen by breaking moves and exercises down and working as efficiently as possible.

She enjoys studying the function of the different parts of the body, and how they all work together, to bring a logical, practical and applicable approach to her coaching

Simone discovered her love for the health and fitness industry back in New Zealand while studying at university, where her journey began in the comfort of her own apartment doing Youtube workouts between classes.
 

When she realised that an office job wasn’t for her, she turned to personal training and fitness instruction, determined to help others find a healthy relationship with their bodies and exercise. Since then she has explored a wide range of different workout styles including strength training and HIIT, however she has always enjoyed and returned to Pilates, loving the core strength and improvements in her flexibility that she has noticed after her sessions.

 

After moving to London Simone decided to take another step in her fitness career and become a qualified Pilates instructor, with the desire to teach and show others the benefits of Pilates.

 

Overall Simone strongly believes that health and fitness should be a positive and fun journey for everyone. She brings a bubbly, welcoming energy to each of her classes and uses this to help motivate and challenge each participant, leaving them feeling great and wanting more!

 

Outside of teaching Simone has a strong passion for Aerial Circus, and you’ll often find her hanging from the ceiling off silks and hoops. She also loves travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisine and taking mini get-aways to new locations.
