Katy Wiltshire (Massage Hybrid)
Studying sports therapy at university, Katy has had a range of placement experiences doing soft tissue therapy and massage. This ranges from physiotherapy clinics to elite sport! With this founding knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal injury, Katy is here to help with any restrictions, imbalances, or pain caused from an existing or previous injury including post-op scar recovery.

No matter who the person is, Katy is a firm believer of a holistic assessment and targeting the body as a whole… Chances are, if you’re struggling in one area of the body, it’s influencing somewhere else too!

Coming from a dance background and now training in both pilates and yoga, Katy is eager to help with posture, flexibility, and mobility work. She has also gone on to do further training in women’s health, including pre and postnatal massage and soft tissue therapy. Again she takes a holistic viewpoint looking at your lifestyle, pelvic floor activation, and breath work to name a few!

Outside of work you’ll find Katy eager to travel, particularly pretty cities and anywhere she can be by the sea/in nature! Katy loves reading, cozy cafes, or getting back into her love of ballet/dance.

Manisha Patel
After developing a passion for the body, the mind, and fitness, Manisha decided to pursue her education at the University of Portsmouth, studying for an undergraduate degree in Sport & Exercise Science. Upon completion of this degree, she wanted to gain further knowledge in the clinical sector, so decided to specialise in exercise prescription for various conditions and went on to complete a master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Science.

Sport has been a large part of her life from a young age, whether it be recreational, social, or competitive. After taking part in numerous swimming, netball & volleyball tournaments throughout her years, Manisha discovered how beneficial physical activity can be, both physically and mentally.

After her degree, Manisha chose to further her knowledge with a fitness instructing and exercise referral course, where her interest in the exercise field peaked. It was then she decided to specialise in rehabilitation & prescriptive exercise interventions for targeted conditions.

Manisha likes helping others achieve their personal goals and maintain good health, as well as improving fitness. She also abides by the saying “Exercise is Medicine’ and is committed to the belief that physically activity promotes optimal health and is integral in the prevention and treatment of many medical conditions.

In her spare time, Manisha can be found in the gym working out, in the kitchen cooking up nutritional meals, and exploring the world.

Caroll Kerner
Caroll is originally from the Champagne region in France. To say that she likes travel and physical challenges is something of an understatement.

She has always been a keen horserider and a runner. When she moved to London she discovered Thai boxing, and after a few years’ training, moved to Kho Samui where she trained for a further five months, taking part in three fights (and winning all three).

On returning to London, she was persuaded to enter her first London Marathon – the first of 14 marathons (5 of them in London) all completed in good times, along with a100km race, which she finished in just over 10 hours.

When she lived in Australia and Vanuatu she took up cycling, and as a result found herself competing in the Alpes d’Huez. With its 21 hairpins, this is one of the legendary ascents of the Tour de France, which she climbed in just over an hour on a steel bike.

Just to add an extra element of challenge (and yet more travel), Caroll trained in Krav Maga in Israel, qualifying as an Instructor. And picking up some injuries along the way, which in turn, introduced her to Pilates and her teaching qualification.

Over the past decade she has participated in a number of courses at the some most respected institutes in the field of holistic health and exercise. With her in-depth understanding (and personal experience) that functional movement patterns are essential to maintain a healthy, efficient and pain free body, Carroll ensures that Pilates is at the core of every exercise and program that she does.

As a Trainer, Caroll is strict yet patient; a perfectionist but also a good motivator. As the basis of all Pilates, she insists on correct and transferable technique in all exercises – so you can practice in everyday life what you learn in class. But above all, she aims to develop routines that suit, stimulate and encourage everyone in her classes.

Julio is a highly motivated and passionate Physiotherapist. Growing up in Bologna, Italy, Julio was a highly active child. Growing up competing in gymnastics and swimming leant itself to an interest in the human body and a desire to live a healthy lifestyle.

Sahara Elliot
Sahara grew up dancing competitively, leading her to have a career in being a dance instructor. With 10 years of instructing dance under her belt, she decided to make the leap into exercise and fitness. Following the completion of a personal training program, Sahara has taught a variety of HIIT and strength classes. She values the knowledge of controlling movement, and assuring the best outcome for clients.

Recently, Sahara moved from Vancouver, Canada to London for a change of pace. She is now training in a local dance company, as well as taking her fitness knowledge further with Pilates. As she has been doing pilates for 5+ years, she wanted to become more well-versed in all types of fitness and thought that the control and strength you have to do in a pilates class was beneficial for every person.

Sahara’s goal is to assure every person who comes in feels comfortable and excited, regardless of experience. Making fitness a welcoming place has been the goal for the last few years, as she knows stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary. She loves to keep her energy high and create a fun environment to be in.

Dario Genovese
Dario has always had compassion for others. Driven by his desire to help people improve their quality of life, he has worked hard over the years to develop his skills in order to make this his career.

After graduating with his Sport and Exercise Science degree in Rome, Dario took the opportunity to complete his European Master of Science in Health and Physical Activity, which allowed him to study the principles of exercise therapy in the clinical environment. Through this, he came to understand just how beneficial exercise medicine is in multiple areas – from the improvement of mental health and the preservation of cognitive function in later life to the prevention and management of cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.

To expand this knowledge and deepen his understanding of these conditions, Dario trained further with a BACPR course, liaising with other professionals at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at the same time to improve his ability to apply cardiac rehabilitation principles in everyday practice.

Using this experience, Dario always looks for the best possible ways to enable clients to achieve their goals, and overcome any barriers and limitations they may be experiencing as a result of life-changing events.

Wed 24 April4:00pmIntermediate to Advanced - Transition Class - Dynamic Reformer Pilates
An upbeat and energising session, ideal for Intermediate clients keen to try the extra challenge that our Advanced Classes offer, but unsure about what to expect. It’s also a great reintroduction for Advanced clients coming back after some time off. It’s a little slower-paced than a regular Advanced Class (though you’ll still challenge yourself and raise a sweat). We’ll focus on optimal form and technique, along with an introduction to some new advanced level exercises, and next-level progressions of familiar routines.

Julio is a highly motivated and passionate Physiotherapist. Growing up in Bologna, Italy, Julio was a highly active child. Growing up competing in gymnastics and swimming leant itself to an interest in the human body and a desire to live a healthy lifestyle.

It is no surprise that leading such an active lifestyle has brought on Julio’s passion in treating the athletic population, including post-operative rehab. He strives to keep people more active for longer, so sessions will look to include strength and conditioning in either the gym, or with Pilates equipment.

Julio initially completed a degree in Sport Science in 2015 in Italy and then moved to the UK to study Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham. Since graduating in 2019, Julio’s experience spans across many different health/fitness/rehabilitative workplaces.

Julio’s aim is to understand you, as an individual, and guide through a bespoke treatment plan that suits your personality and helps achieve your goals. Julio wants to share his motivation to be active and hopes that his energy will inspire you to find your own way to stay healthy for longer, leading you to enjoy all the beautiful things that life has to offer.

No prior experience is necessary for this class; a basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential. Clients are introduced to the equipment, techniques and some basic exercises. Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.

A step up in pace and intensity, and definitely not for first-timers. Expect a varied and challenging workout with more functional progressions and an emphasis firmly on effort and results.
