A step up in pace and intensity, and definitely not for first-timers. Expect a varied and challenging workout with more functional progressions and an emphasis firmly on effort and results.
Beth Stoddart
Beth began her career in Pilates through her training as a Dancer. She has been dancing for many years in a variety of styles such as Contemporary, Ballet and Hip Hop. Beth carries her love for movement and creativity, as well as the discipline, determination and hard-work required as a dancer through all aspects of her life and work. During her time studying dance at university, Beth completed modules in dance science and physiology, which further developed her understanding of the body from an anatomical perspective. This helped her to condition her body effectively to be fit for dance, but also increased her awareness of injury prevention. This led to a greater interest and understanding of fitness, with Pilates being the most beneficial form of exercise that supplemented Beth’s training as a dancer.

Beth loves the technique in Pilates and believes the traditional Pilates principles of Flow, Precision, Control, Concentration, Centring and Breathing are what makes Pilates stand out as a form of exercise. The level of focus and control required in a class enables the mind to become wholly present and in tune with the body and breathing. The result is a strengthening and empowering workout for both the mind and body.

Beth has been teaching Pilates in a variety of settings, from small gyms, to leisure centres, corporate organisations, and classes and at community events. She loves to teach and connect with people, always providing a kind, welcoming environment to ensure everybody can benefit from the class and feel comfortable to achieve their best. Her focus is to provide a safe but effective workout, building strength and control for the deep stabilising muscles to support everyday movement. She is passionate about injury prevention and wants to help people feel strong and empowered in their bodies.

No prior experience is necessary for this class; a basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential. Clients are introduced to the equipment, techniques and some basic exercises. Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.

Wed 19 February4:00pmIntermediate to Advanced - Dynamic Reformer Pilates Transition Class
An upbeat and energising session, ideal for Intermediate clients keen to try the extra challenge that our Advanced Classes offer, but unsure about what to expect. It’s also a great reintroduction for Advanced clients coming back after some time off. It’s a little slower-paced than a regular Advanced Class (though you’ll still challenge yourself and raise a sweat). We’ll focus on optimal form and technique, along with an introduction to some new advanced level exercises, and next-level progressions of familiar routines.

Christopher Mandac
With 15 years in the fitness industry, Chris has a multitude of disciplines which he draws upon to create bespoke sessions for his clients that adapt to their lifestyle and personalities.

Before joining Ten, Chris was a personal trainer at one of the top luxury health clubs in London; his clients ranged from corporate office workers to semi-pro athletes, and everyone in between. He prides himself on remaining agile by making his sessions different every time, to keep clients interested and present.

Functional movement is at the core of Chris’ sessions, as he believes the foundations of our body should be strong and stable in order for us to progress and improve over time. This is why he is always looking to expand movement patterns to compliment these foundations. He enjoys disciplines such as Animal Flow,Yoga, meditation and Calisthenics, as he feels these contribute to his personal goal of being an all-round movement enthusiast.

We know clients want to feel and look good but many of them are unaware of the effects of modern-day life and how it can impact their bodies and health. Therefore, Chris believes it is more valuable for him to help clients gain control over their body and mind, this way they can become better movers in all aspects of their life beyond just training. Chris’ classes will always be filled with energy, positivity and he will give you the drive to get you where you want to be. We are all a constant work in progress, so there is always room for improvement, let’s put in the work together.

Dario Genovese
Dario has always had compassion for others. Driven by his desire to help people improve their quality of life, he has worked hard over the years to develop his skills in order to make this his career.

After graduating with his Sport and Exercise Science degree in Rome, Dario took the opportunity to complete his European Master of Science in Health and Physical Activity, which allowed him to study the principles of exercise therapy in the clinical environment. Through this, he came to understand just how beneficial exercise medicine is in multiple areas – from the improvement of mental health and the preservation of cognitive function in later life to the prevention and management of cardiovascular and respiratory conditions.

To expand this knowledge and deepen his understanding of these conditions, Dario trained further with a BACPR course, liaising with other professionals at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at the same time to improve his ability to apply cardiac rehabilitation principles in everyday practice.

Using this experience, Dario always looks for the best possible ways to enable clients to achieve their goals, and overcome any barriers and limitations they may be experiencing as a result of life-changing events.

Ratidzo Mushambadope
From a young age, Ratidzo has been heavily involved in sports whether she was participating in athletic competitions or going to the gym recreationally. She understood how important fitness is for the body, mind, and overall health.

This led to her wanting to further her understanding of the biology of the body and how fitness can be used to treat different illnesses and conditions. Ratidzo completed studying for an undergraduate in clinical exercise therapy at the University of Bedfordshire.

During her time at the university, she gained insightful internal experience with treating musculoskeletal injuries and working with people with different conditions such as stroke, cardiac, and neurological patients. Externally, she started off shadowing physiotherapists at a private sports clinic where she eventually worked as a rehabilitation therapist.

As a clinical exercise therapist, Ratidzo is professionally trained to effectively design exercise programmes for different populations of people and apply a range of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques. Now Ratidzo aspires to help as many people as she can through sharing the knowledge she has gained and continues to gain as she grows through the company to inspire people to live out their lives to the fullest by prioritising their fitness and wellbeing.

In her spare time, Ratidzo enjoys listening to a vast range of music and learning to cook different dishes from around the world. And occasionally, exploring different parts of the world.

Alexia Scott
Alexia is originally from France where she started to do different sports at a young age. She used to ski, swim and started her dance training alongside those activities.

Her dance background includes mostly Ballet but also Jazz and Contemporary dance. She trained professionally in Ballet, first in Lyon-France, before moving to London in 2014 to pursue her professional training and started her dance career. She participated in workshops in Austria, Switzerland, France and England where her dance journey allowed her to meet and dance for different choreographers. She was first introduced to the Pilates Method after an injury and used the method as rehabilitation. She then kept this as a part of her dance training as she found this really interesting to see and understand the mechanism of the body and how to look after it. The method is also a very good way of keeping a healthy lifestyle but also preventing injury and reduces pain.

She completed her Pilates Matwork Course with Body Control Pilates in 2020.

To deepen her knowledge in human’s body mechanism and ho to look after it, she qualified as an assisted stretchtologist where the main focus is to release tensions and body tissues through exercises of assisted stretches.

She has found in Pilates a better mind and body awareness as well as a way to improve people’s posture. She also likes to combine her exercises while incorporating the Alexander technique (a method that she herself undertook as part of her rehabilitation after her injury). Alexia’s classes are built to guide people, encourage them, help them reaching their goals and challenge them in their progression. Her Favourite part of the job is to see people smiling and laughing!

When Alexia is not working at the studio, you will most likely find her doing more exercises outdoor such as running with her Spaniel, enjoying good food from different market places or visiting and discovering more places.

Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.
