Adam graduated in 2007 and went on to train high performance tennis players at a top tennis academy in Surrey, working closely with physiotherapists and tennis coaches.

Always keen to continue learning (and equally keen to continually push himself) Adam went on to complete a Masters in Strength and Conditioning at Middlesex University in 2013 graduating with Merit, whilst also working full time at a Tennis Academy.

Clinical exercise prescription and rehabilitation quickly became a love for Adam. Before joining the Ten team in 2017, he managed a rehabilitation company on Harley Street specialising in cancer and cardiac care.

You’ll rarely see Adam without a theraband in his hand. He loves corrective functional exercise, and his classes combine an infectious energy and sense of fun with a depth of technical knowledge – and always with functional fitness as the end goal.

Having grown up in Greece, it’s no surprise that Maritina developed a love for the water from a young age. At 9 years old, she started swimming competitively and she went on to achieve several national championship titles throughout her career. And it’s the countless hours that she spent training both in and out of the pool, that inspired her interest in human physiology.

Keen to develop this interest further, Maritina went on to complete a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences in the UK. She achieved First Class Honours and her academic success saw her rewarded with an NHS placement. There she gained extensive experience in cardiac rehabilitation by working closely with patients, and focusing on exercise prescription and lifestyle modification.

Inspired by this placement and eager to further develop, she went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. The course gave her both valuable scientific based knowledge and practical 1-1 experience with a variety of special populations who suffered with chronic clinical conditions. Specifically, she spent a year working for the NHS team based in Portsmouth and Southampton Hospitals, specialising in clinical exercise delivery and prescription for cardiovascular, neurological, oncology and respiratory conditions.

On a personal level, Maritina finds purpose in helping people from all walks of life to live happier and healthier lives. She believes that even small changes can make a huge difference to some one’s life, and she loves to be part of their journey as the discover that – seeing them achieve physical and mental improvements with her support helps too!

An athlete from childhood, Maria studied ballet classes and rhythmic gymnastics up until the start of her undergraduate studies. She discovered and quickly fell in love with Pilates at University.

An EREPS Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher (EQF Level 4), Maria is qualified across the full range of Pilates equipment, including Mat, Reformer, Tower and Chair. For the past few years, she has worked at some of Athens’ leading private gym clubs, and more recently as a Nutritionist assistant, formulating individual diet plans for clients.

Her never-ending passion and energy to learn innovative ideas and concepts led her to relocate to London and become part of the Ten team.

Her dedication from such a young age eventually paid off as he was taken on as a professional dancer for New Zealand’s top entertainment company, Diamond. She went on to spend seven years performing with Diamond, where her credits included New Zealand’s X-Factor and The Real Housewives of Auckland, alongside numerous sporting events and music videos.

During this time, she also studied at the University of Auckland to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Studies, where she focused on dance education and developed a passion to teach others.

Having spent many years swept up in the world of dance both professionally and educationally, it’s no surprise that she discovered Barre in 2014 and quickly began teaching Barre in her home country, New Zealand. Now that she’s settled into London it’s all about TenBarre.

Having previously used Pilates to support her own post injury rehab, she’s also a big advocate of it’s benefits. Keen to develop this interest further, Maritina went on to complete a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences in the UK. She achieved First Class Honours and her academic success saw her rewarded with an NHS placement. There she gained extensive experience in cardiac rehabilitation by working closely with patients, and focusing on exercise prescription and lifestyle modification.

Inspired by this placement and eager to further develop, she went on to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. The course gave her both valuable scientific based knowledge and practical 1-1 experience with a variety of special populations who suffered with chronic clinical conditions. Specifically, she spent a year working for the NHS team based in Portsmouth and Southampton Hospitals, specialising in clinical exercise delivery and prescription for cardiovascular, neurological, oncology and respiratory conditions.

Tommy has been physically active for as long as he can remember, playing recreational to semi-professional football over the years before a back condition stopped him in his tracks.

Combining a lifelong enthusiasm for movement and activity with his love of science, Tommy took his first career step by graduating from the University of Bath with an MSci Sports and Exercise Science degree.

A postgraduate season with the first team of Bristol City Football Club gave Tommy the opportunity to lead both gym and pitch based prehab/rehab sessions as well as taking the players through their strength and conditioning programs on a one to one and group basis.

Melissa has been dancing for about as long as she could walk, starting with Tap lessons at the age of four.

Her dedication from such a young age eventually paid off as he was taken on as a professional dancer for New Zealand’s top entertainment company, Diamond. She went on to spend seven years performing with Diamond, where her credits included New Zealand’s X-Factor and The Real Housewives of Auckland, alongside numerous sporting events and music videos.

During this time, she also studied at the University of Auckland to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Studies, where she focused on dance education and developed a passion to teach others.

Having spent many years swept up in the world of dance both professionally and educationally, it’s no surprise that she discovered Barre in 2014 and quickly began teaching Barre in her home country, New Zealand. Now that she’s settled into London it’s all about TenBarre.

Having previously used Pilates to support her own post injury rehab, she’s also a big advocate of it’s benefits. With an BSc in Sports Science and an MSc in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, Maria is passionate about improving overall well-being, through the combination of nutrition and exercise.

Eager to extend her knowledge and increase her skills as a Personal Trainer, she attended a private fitness school, in parallel with her studies. Throughout her career, she has continued to seek out opportunities for education and training and further enhance her abilities.

An athlete from childhood, Maria studied ballet classes and rhythmic gymnastics up until the start of her undergraduate studies. She discovered and quickly fell in love with Pilates at University.

An EREPS Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher (EQF Level 4), Maria is qualified across the full range of Pilates equipment, including Mat, Reformer, Tower and Chair. With an BSc in Sports Science and an MSc in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, Maria is passionate about improving overall well-being, through the combination of nutrition and exercise.

Eager to extend her knowledge and increase her skills as a Personal Trainer, she attended a private fitness school, in parallel with her studies. Throughout her career, she has continued to seek out opportunities for education and training and further enhance her abilities.

An athlete from childhood, Maria studied ballet classes and rhythmic gymnastics up until the start of her undergraduate studies. She discovered and quickly fell in love with Pilates at University.

An EREPS Certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Teacher (EQF Level 4), Maria is qualified across the full range of Pilates equipment, including Mat, Reformer, Tower and Chair. For the past few years, she has worked at some of Athens’ leading private gym clubs, and more recently as a Nutritionist assistant, formulating individual diet plans for clients.

Her never-ending passion and energy to learn innovative ideas and concepts led her to relocate to London and become part of the Ten team.

Frances Bowden
Frances has had a love for sport as long as she can remember. Running around a hockey field on frosty Sunday mornings aged eight eventually evolved into a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at Loughborough University (though she can still be found running around a hockey field on frosty Sunday mornings).

Over the course of her degree, Frances developed a passion for exercise prescription and lifestyle modification, wanting to help people move better whilst living heathier and happier lives.

Frances enjoys the client journey, focusing on all aspects of exercise, nutrition and lifestyle to achieve the kind of functional and sustainable results that will benefit a client every single day. She works to the needs of the body, developing strength and flexibility whilst identifying and correcting muscular imbalances created by our 21st century lifestyle to minimise the risk of injury.

Frances loves nothing more than proving to someone that they can do something and that, with the right attitude, anyone can achieve anything.

Over the past three years, she has worked with a range of clients from age 16 to late 80s with both clinical and non-clinical backgrounds. She has helped people from all walks of life achieve their goals, whether that’s to return to walking unaided right through to helping clients return to top-level competitive sport.

Dynamic Reformer Pilates adds another string to Frances’ bow and she is passionate about its seemingly unlimited potential for rehab and for developing the building blocks for functional strength training.
