I’m interested in the lower back and hip as well as the foot and ankle. They have their own unique complexities.
Elizabeth completed her BSc in Physiotherapy at King’s College London and developed her specialism as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist while completing further studies with an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a Certificate in Psychotherapy & Counselling.
Elizabeth’s experience also includes occupational health, running analysis, and helping to deliver a RED-S clinic, a developing area of healthcare, including completing assessments to help screen and stratify risk.
Elizabeth was drawn to physiotherapy by a passion for helping others and improving their quality of life. She finds it deeply rewarding to empower people to move with less pain, greater freedom, and improved stability – always tailoring her approach to support each person’s unique goals.
In addition to physical health and wellbeing, physiotherapy also allows Elizabeth to adopt a holistic approach and spend time exploring other psychosocial experiences and factors when it comes to optimising an individual’s health and wellbeing.
Elizabeth would define her treatment style as holistic, friendly, biomechanical and tailored to the individual to make the experience as rewarding, achievable, and as positive as possible. Elizabeth believes that listening is an important part of practise as well as ensuring patients are facilitated with realistic and achievable goals while being supported with energy and optimism.
Meeting and learning from Podiatrists when Elizabeth studied an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine helped to develop her approach to Physiotherapy when considering biomechanics in addition to foot and ankle problems.
Elizabeth’s sporting endeavours have helped her to reflect on contextual factors which may impact an experience of injury and participation in sport and she is passionate about longevity and tailored care; she has played international hockey for Wales as well as in the Premier League.
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys playing or watching sports, Pilates, dance, painting, going to the coast and spending time with friends and family.
