Mitchel is a dedicated physiotherapist committed to improving health and wellbeing. After graduating over 20 years ago with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, he went on to complete an MSc in Global Health and Development and a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health, both at University College London (UCL).
He has extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, having worked in a range of private clinics, including those on Harley Street, and with elite performers such as artists, musicians, dancers, and athletes. His clinical work is complemented by significant research expertise: he has conducted extensive studies on injury and its impact on functional ability, published in multiple scientific journals, and presented at international conferences. He has also worked in occupational health, delivering musculoskeletal clinics and injury-prevention initiatives for numerous organisations.
Having grown up in sunny Zimbabwe, Mitchel has always valued the outdoors, along with his long-standing passions for music, dance, and walking. Physiotherapy, to him, is a profession that brings these elements together; a field that fosters connection, supports development, and enhances overall health.
He specialises in treating acute, sub-acute, and chronic conditions, including musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, pain and movement dysfunctions, mechanical and occupational injuries, sporting injuries (elite and non-elite), and lifestyle-related imbalances. His practice is grounded in a holistic philosophy: he firmly believes in the deep connection between the brain and the neuromuscular system, and how this relationship shapes the perception and experience of pain. In his clinical approach, pain management, recovery, and long-term healing are closely linked to emotional wellbeing, mental health, stress reduction, and cultivating a sense of positivity.
Having personally lived with a chronic pain condition, he has successfully applied many of the therapeutic techniques he uses in practice to his own healing journey. He believes rehabilitation and exercise should be inclusive, enjoyable, and tailored to the individual, never purely prescriptive, so that each person can achieve the best possible functional outcomes.
Mitchel has run in-house physiotherapy services for several major organisations, including Tate & Lyle, Southeastern Trains, Stansted Express, Veolia, and ITH Pharma, and has provided ergonomic assessments and injury-prevention programmes for a wide range of companies.
Creatively, he lives for music and writing, singing, dancing, and walking are among his greatest joys. He also loves to travel and cherishes spending quality time with his family, friends, and loved ones.
He has a particular clinical interest in treating spinal and lower-limb conditions.
