No prior experience is necessary for this class; a basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential. Clients are introduced to the equipment, techniques and some basic exercises. Recommended as your first class with Ten or for those of you who would like to practice at a gentler pace - though it's still more than enough of a workout to get those all important endorphins going.
Molly MacLennan
Originally from Scotland, Molly moved to London at 17 to attend dance school, where she earned a BA Honours in Musical Theatre/Dance. Throughout her life, she has always had a deep passion for movement and sport, and she is dedicated to inspiring that same enthusiasm in others.

During her time at dance school, Molly was introduced to Mat Pilates, which was part of the daily curriculum before Ballet classes. It was here that she first discovered the practice, and as trained dancers, the sessions were highly focused on core strength, often with an emphasis on rehabilitation and injury prevention.

After graduating, Molly chose to pursue a career in the fitness industry rather than performing. She earned her Mat Pilates qualification, followed by her Reformer Pilates certification, deepening her expertise and passion for the practice.

Molly’s classes are designed to guide and motivate individuals to improve themselves through a focus on great technique, strength building, and flexibility. She emphasises the importance of controlling flexibility by strengthening the core, helping students achieve balance and stability in their movements.

Outside of work, Molly stays active through running and is currently training for her first half marathon in 2025. She also enjoys long walks, exploring local markets, and is always up for a good chit chat.

Lorena Jiménez Opayome
Originally from Bogota, Colombia Lorena’s interest in Physiotherapy began as a high school cheerleader, where she realised the importance of making sports both safe and enjoyable. This motivated her to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy in Colombia, where she graduated with honors and received a scholarship for academic excellence.

Throughout her career in Colombia, she gained experience working with a variety of populations, including professional tennis players, orthopaedic rehabilitation at the largest military hospital in the country, and in the ICU of one of the most complex hospitals in the nation. She has continued to expand her expertise with further qualifications, including certifications in Pilates, Kinesio taping, and a diploma in respiratory care for critical patients with AHA certification.

Additionally, she completed a Master’s degree in Health Management, enhancing her understanding of healthcare systems. In 2019, she moved to Shanghai, where she worked for four years and discovered her passion for teaching. This led her to relocate to London, where she now combines her clinical expertise with her enthusiasm for education. Her goal is to continue making a positive impact on the health and well-being of people through physiotherapy and education.

Pilates resonates with Lorena’s philosophy about the human body and movement. She believes in the importance of training the body to create a broad range of movement variability, which doesn’t necessarily mean performing complex or advanced exercises. In fact, she believes in mastering the basics first, which creates a solid foundation for more complex and dynamic movements later.

For some, this idea of focusing on simplicity can seem boring or repetitive. However, Pilates proves that even the most basic movements can be transformed into challenging exercises through careful attention and intention. Every day, she sees how the smallest adjustments in alignment or focus can turn a seemingly simple movement into a powerful and effective one. Pilates aligns perfectly with this belief by emphasising control, precision, and mindful movement, which are essential for both injury prevention and improving overall function.

In her classes, participants can expect a strong focus on form and progression through layers. She begins with the basics, ensuring that they have a solid understanding before moving on to more advanced exercises. Once they’re ready, she safely builds on that foundation to elevate their practice.

Above all, she values movement variability. Her goal is to prepare her students to move confidently in different environments and situations while helping them feel safe and comfortable in their bodies. She wants them to feel empowered to keep moving, knowing that they have the strength and stability to do so with ease.

As a Colombian, dancing holds a special place in her heart, with salsa being her favourite style. She also loves to learn and explore new things, whether it’s singing, playing the piano, learning new languages, or writing.

Danilo Caruso
Originally from the beautiful island of Sicily, Danilo has been a devotee of sport and exercise since (almost) as long as he could walk.

He began at just 3 years old, practicing Judo with his Aunt (a multiple world champion) and then trying has hand at a variety of sports before discovering dance at 14.

Danilo’s hobby became his profession, as he passed the audition for one of the most prestigious arts universities in Europe, Codarts, in Holland, before moving to the UK, where he graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. (As a Postgraduate, he also won the prize for best achievement of the year in 2012.)

After his graduation Danilo worked as a professional dancer for a number of leading national and international choreographers. He danced as lead performer for the National Theatre, as well performing at the Royal Opera House and Sadler’s Wells, both in London and in their UK tours.

He has always used Pilates as a base for his training, having discovered that it was the most efficient way to prevent injuries. After gaining his Matt Pilates qualification, he decided to combine his Pilates knowledge with the benefits of his dance experience and understanding of body awareness, muscle isolation and proprioception by teaching Pilates to professional dancers.

Danilo’s passion to share his knowledge and insights with a wider audience led him to join the Training team at Ten.

He likes a laugh, loves parks, nice walks, a good book, photography and of course mamma’s cooking.

Keen to understand more about the psychology of health behaviours, Olivia studied for a BSc in Psychology followed by an MSc in Human Nutrition and further Diploma in the Psychology of Eating.

After a hiatus from research, working in high-end hospitality management for three years, Olivia made the decision to combine her love for working in a people-driven environment with her background in health and fitness. She went on to complete her level 3 personal training and Pilates qualifications before coming to Ten.

Olivia Lakhina
Olivia’s passion for health and fitness started in her teens. Over time, her lifelong passion for exercise expanded to incorporate her growing interest in the mental as well as physical motivations that drive people towards – or – rom a healthier lifestyle.

Keen to understand more about the psychology of health behaviours, Olivia studied for a BSc in Psychology followed by an MSc in Human Nutrition and further Diploma in the Psychology of Eating.

She began her career as a nutrition and behavioural science research assistant, all the while, practicing Pilates on a daily basis to counteract the long periods of time spent sitting at a desk.

After a hiatus from research, working in high-end hospitality management for three years, Olivia made the decision to combine her love for working in a people-driven environment with her background in health and fitness. She went on to complete her level 3 personal training and Pilates qualifications before coming to Ten.

Olivia’s approach to training is holistic, combining her expertise in fuelling the body optimally with Dynamic Reformer Pilates to help her clients achieve long-term sustainable results. Her classes are welcoming and varied, focusing on form and technique and how her clients feel in their bodies.

When not at the studio, you’ll most likely find Olivia travelling the world, hosting a casual dinner party or trying out a new restaurant, cafe or bar opening in London.
