GOT QUESTIONS?
WE’VE GOT ANSWERS!
Still have questions? Read our full FAQs or contact our team, and we'll be happy to assist
-
What is Physiotherapy at Ten?
Physiotherapy at Ten goes far beyond treating symptoms.
Our expert Physiotherapists assess how your whole body moves, identify the root cause of pain or limitation, and create a personalised treatment plan to help you recover, move better and stay well long term.
Treatment may include hands-on therapy, movement retraining, strength work and guided exercises, all delivered with a focus on sustainable progress, not quick fixes.
-
What conditions can Physiotherapy help with?
Physiotherapy can help with a wide range of issues, including:
- Back, neck and joint pain
- Sports and training-related injuries
- Postural or movement-related problems
- Recovery after surgery or injury
- Long-standing or recurring pain
Many clients also use Physiotherapy proactively (Prehab), to address niggles early, support training, or maintain mobility and resilience as they age.
-
Do I need a referral to see a Physiotherapist?
No. You don’t need a GP referral to book Physiotherapy at Ten.
You can book directly, and if required, we can liaise with other healthcare professionals as part of your care.
-
Can I book physio with my health insurance?
Yes. Our physiotherapists are registered with most major Health Insurance Providers (including Bupa and Axa PPP).
In order to book with us, you’ll need to contact your insurer to get a pre-authorisation code. You’ll then need this code, along with your provider number, to complete your booking.
-
What happens in my first Physiotherapy appointment?
Your initial session focuses on understanding you.
Your Physiotherapist will:
- Take a detailed history
- Assess your movement and biomechanics
- Identify contributing factors to your pain or restriction
- Begin hands-on treatment where appropriate
- Outline a clear plan for next steps
The aim is to leave you feeling informed, supported and confident about your recovery.
-
How long are Physiotherapy sessions?
Follow-up Physiotherapy appointments are available in 30, 45 or 60-minute sessions, depending on your needs and goals.
Your Physiotherapist will recommend the most appropriate session length for you, balancing effectiveness with value and convenience.
-
What is a Physiotherapy membership, and who is it for?
Our Physiotherapy membership is designed for clients who want ongoing, proactive care.
It includes:
- One 60-minute Physiotherapy session per month (with top up sessions available)
- Better value than pay-as-you-go appointments
- Consistent support to manage pain, movement or long-term conditions
Memberships run on a rolling basis with a short minimum commitment, making them flexible while encouraging continuity of care.
-
What are Physio top-up sessions?
Physio top-up sessions are available exclusively to members.
They allow you to:
- Book additional sessions at a reduced rate
- Buy as many as you need
- Roll unused top-ups into the following month (valid for 30 days)
They’re ideal if your needs fluctuate month to month.
-
What is the Full Body MOT?
The Full Body MOT is a comprehensive 90-minute assessment designed to give you a complete picture of how your body moves.
It includes:
- A full biomechanical assessment
- Hands-on treatment
- Identification of movement patterns contributing to pain or limitation
- A personalised home exercise programme
It’s ideal if you’re experiencing multiple issues, recurring pain, or simply want a clear, expert-led plan to improve how your body functions.
-
What is VALD force plate testing?
VALD force plate testing uses advanced technology to objectively measure strength, stability and movement asymmetries.
In this 30-minute session, our Physiotherapists use real-time data to:
- Identify imbalances and compensations
- Track progress accurately
- Support return-to-sport or performance goals
It’s particularly valuable for athletes, post-injury rehab, or anyone wanting data-led insight into how their body is working.
-
What is Pelvic Health Physiotherapy?
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is a specialist service supporting women’s and men’s pelvic health across life stages.
It can help with:
- Pregnancy-related changes
- Postnatal recovery
- Pelvic pain or dysfunction
- Core and pelvic floor concerns
All sessions are delivered by highly trained specialists in a supportive, professional and confidential environment.
-
What happens in a Women’s Health Physiotherapy assessment?
Your Women’s Health initial assessment is a 60-minute session that includes:
- A detailed discussion of symptoms and history
- A full assessment
- Initial treatment
- Clear guidance on next steps
Follow-up appointments are then tailored to your needs, with options for shorter or longer sessions depending on your progress.
-
Can Physiotherapy be combined with other Ten services?
Yes, and this is where Ten is truly different.
Physiotherapy integrates seamlessly with:
- Dynamic Reformer Pilates
- Classical Equipment Pilates
- Pelvic Health services
- Personal Training and Clinical Exercise
Your Physiotherapist can work closely with instructors and trainers to ensure everything you do supports your recovery and long-term health.
-
Is Physiotherapy suitable if I’m not in pain?
Absolutely.
Many clients use Physiotherapy proactively, to move better, train smarter, prevent injury and support longevity. It’s as much about maintaining balance as it is about resolving problems.
