Circle of Care

Here at Ten, we have an approach to client wellbeing that’s significantly different to anything else you’ll find in the fitness and wellbeing sector – in fact we believe it’s unique in the UK, and possibly Europe.

We call it our Circle of Care. It’s a collaborative and integrated partnership between Ten’s Trainers and Therapists – which is absolutely not the way the health/fitness industry model typically works.

In the conventional health/fitness model, clients use a variety of fitness resources and professionals (a gym for cardio or classes, a personal trainer for one-on-one sessions, and a therapist for injuries or chronic conditions).

But each of them, whether Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Massage therapists, class instructors or personal trainers, works in isolation, even within the same practices or gyms. And because none of them shares information with the others, goal setting, progress management and injury prevention or correction is done piecemeal if at all, and any overall health and fitness strategy is left to the client to manage.

We believe there’s a better way – one that puts the client’s needs firmly at its heart.

Our Circle of Care is (as the name suggests) a cycle. It takes in every stage of a client’s physical wellbeing – including exercise, prehab, injury management, treatment and rehab – and allows us to provide you with a seamless progression from one stage to another.

In contrast to the rest of the industry, our Trainers and Therapists work side by side. We encourage clients to integrate a mix of classes and one-on-one sessions into their overall programmes (along with treatment, rehab and corrective exercise where necessary). We also encourage them to work with a variety of Trainers, so that they can benefit from specific areas of individual specialisation and expertise.

This focus on collaboration, continuity and the sharing of experience, insight and client information, not only makes our clients’ experience with us more interesting, engaging and ultimately rewarding. It also offers two fundamental advantages.

First: with long-term, sustainable fitness in mind, we’re able to create a genuinely integrated overall health and fitness strategy, and guide you through it in a seamless and continuous progression.

And second: we’re able to continually monitor, evaluate and adapt your programme to maximise its effectiveness, whether that’s to help speed recovery from injury, or help you achieve your goals faster.
