Dynamic Mat Classes bring the intensity, full-body workout and heart/lung conditioning of the innovative, results driven TenPilates technique to Mat Pilates.
If you’re new to Dynamic Pilates or any kind of pilates, this is a good place to start. Because it’s a mix of traditional Mat pilates and Ten’s advanced movement techniques, it will push your cardiovascular system too. It’s floor-based, with only your own body weight for resistance, so it’s particularly suitable for anyone with back problems, poor balance or low muscular strength.
Each class requires a minimum of three people, so if you and some friends would like to try it out, give us a call.
The workout can be tailored to suit individual levels of fitness, capability and experience, so it’s equally suited to beginners or experienced Dynamic Pilates practitioners looking to add some extra variety into their workout.
For absolute beginners or anyone recovering from injury, it’s a good introduction to the Ten method and a great way to begin building your core strength.
More intense than the Pilates you may have experienced before, with Ten’s trademark dynamic flow between one exercise and another. (That also means you’ll fit more movement into a single session). We tailor classes to your experience, so beginners and experts will get a lot out of their session. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely. You don’t need shoes and we provide water and towels.
It’s more dynamic and intense than a standard Mat class, so you’ll see heart/lung conditioning as well as greater muscular and postural benefits – and you should expect to feel and see them faster.
If you’re a beginner, or recovering from injury, you’ll also start building up your core strength and flexibility, so that as you progress, you’ll find the experience easier and more enjoyable, and the workout more effective.
